shademaster: Dear Tamron. Please do a 24-105 f/4 to compete with sony and drive the price down on that one. If you can keep that one to 500g too that would be lovely. Thanks.

You realise Sony is a substantial stockholder in Tamron? So Tamron is not likely to try to adversely affect one of its owners.

Why do you have a separate option for Question when you start a new thread?

I've only just realised it's a separate option and the OP can't select "Answered" if they selected the traditional option of "New Thread". Why not solely have the "Question" option so the OP always has the option to select most relevant post?
The two different types of threads are not obvious within a forum, anyway. The only difference seems to be if the OP selects "New Thread" there's no way to select an answer, whereas if the OP selects "Question" they then have the option to select an Answer.

peevee1: "However EOS 5D Mark III owners will have to wait until April 2013 before the new firmware becomes available."

That timing for porting of the small changes already available in another camera of the same generation (i.e. having very similar hardware) cannot be explained by anything except artificial slowdown. Canon has become really arrogant in the recent years.

Cannot be explained? How about Canon has just seen the features of the Sony A99 competition, and decided they must keep up. So they announce they're going to catch up (so people don't rush off and buy the A99). The problem is they have to get the programmers to work - and those programmers can't finish the work overnight.
