As Paulo mentioned something close to 100mm adapted to Fuji could be a smart lens for a first macro lens, i use Tamron 52bb which although only does 1:2 its a sharp lens, sharper than my 16-80mm ...

You can use gigapixel AI with high resolution bodies aswell they benefit from it just as much as lower MP ones.
-
Heh, neither one of you make any sense in your statements, one says you automatically always have a professional camera if you got large lenses and the other wonders why one has a professional...

My guess is that gear patrol pockets any excess money and dpreview staff wages are probably unaffected.

Yea the bigger issue than waiting is that many dont have 6000 dollars just lying around

So there is no benefit to put the IBIS to "shooting only"? I always thought it would only engage when taking a picture with that setting.
-
Ehh if you view 1" sensor that has 8mp you are viewing it at 100 percent, scaling a hasselblad down to 8mp yields pixel perfect sharpness and far more accurate colors than 1" sensor does. And...

I see your point but there's even less people that own two cameras just because another would be better at video.
-
So you are basically saying that a Noct Nikkor Z will not produce better results if it would be used on a 61mp sensor than any other good lens? What you are saying is that at those MP the only...

Whether i want to keep my fuji or not is beside the point, the 26mp was just an example, the same rules apply to FF, where did you get the idea to bring the camera i own into this discussion, i...

There is no X amount of mp a lens resolves. Lenses do not do digital projections, lenses resolve more if the MP count goes up with diminishing returns.

Yes i have considered Tokina myself years ago i didnt mean to say they are a bad option for the price

Its interesting how Tokina being such an old japanese company never seemed to make much lenses better than average.

If the storage is hard to wipe wouldnt it be just as hard to try to recover anything from it?

When shooting macro a lens behaves like a lens with a longer focal length, my tamron 90mm 1:2 macro i tend to input 130mm as the IBIS setting for better results, since some lenses have electrnic ...

All true but i'd like to just say that growing up with computers in the 90s i prefer such onterfaces over modern ones. Soon we might have a turd logo instead of format word, or a face with glasses...

And useful for those that own a zoom and want something faster and lighter for a price thats not high by fuji standards
-
Would not some sort of extra markings like they used to do be better than nothing, for example https://www.flickr.com/photos/stevefe/4958329120/

Not to get overly nitpicky abou words but isnt a constant f number zoom variable aperture it must increase to maintain a constant fstop when zooming in? F4 to 5.6 probably dont change therefore ...
