Too expensive for what it is.

This is way better than the Z5, but it scores so low.

The reason why Canon is the only player that can challenge Sony is they fabricate their own sensors, they will always be number one and two in the mirrorless camera business.

1llusive: Nikon has a lot of DSLR users that are just waiting to convert to Z. That should give them a boost. I see Canon and Nikon both eating into Sony's market share by drawing from their DSLR users.

Canon may be, not Nikon, have you converted yet?

The laziest player gets to the bottom.

TheGrilledCheese: Selling batteries and chargers for dying platforms. That's surely a great business decision, Manfrotto!

That battery works for both the F and Z mounts.

Benefit of no need to beg Sony for making the sensors they want.

No iPhone users want memory card slot as Apple has iCloud.

True, also for the 3.5mm jack, who needs it nowadays.

More MegaPixels: The R5 ace in the hole is the world class EF professional lenses that even Sony users adapt because of their quality and affordability (even though on A7x cameras they only work at 2.5 FPS). Only Nikon has lenses that are close.

Overall the R5 is the best camera today. It does some things no other FF cameras can do and is as good or about as good at virtually every thing else.
I do enjoy the "my 3 cameras compete every well with the R5" argument though.

Nikon S lenses are no where near as sharp as the RF and Sony G master"s. They can't even beat Sigma.

If there is either fully articulated screen like the R5 or tilt screen, what will professionals choose?

anwiko: The prices of these phones are insane.
The prices of these pocket computers are reasonable.
The prices of these pocketable cameras would be okay - if you wouldn't have to throw them away after three years because the lenses are scratched and full of dust on the inside.

including the SE front cam?

Because DXOmark hates Sony.

VeriWide100: There is no mention of the key failing of non-OEM batteries: will there be an indication of the battery strength AT ALL on the display? My canon, Lumix and Fuji cameras did operate with off-brand batteries, but gave incorrect or zero info on remaining power.

I've had non-OEM batteries of a few brands. No one brand stands out and they all become useless WAY before the OEM battery, so given the cheap price, they're "OK" if you can live without an indication of battery strength, before the camera just shuts itself off.

I believe in your experience but I had two Nikon EN-EL-15 batteries, one died after a few months that came with the V1 and another one died within a year, Nikon CS told me warranty didn't cover batteries, since then I tried 3rd party batteries and they still work greatly after years of use.

Link | Posted on Oct 22, 2020 at 23:46 UTC

3rd party products like Sigma used to be a laughing stock, they now make some lenses better than 1st party's, will history repeat itself in the battery business from Manftotto?

Sony and this Canon should have got 95%. Extra credit for Canon who fabricates their own sensors.

S Line lenses are good but nothing impressive up against others like Canon's RF and Sigma's for E mount.
