  • When I was a lot younger and riding all sorts of motorcycles I used to think of Harleys as being 'too slow, don't go round corners and don't stop too well'. Now I'm at an age where they look just fine.
  • That is just beautiful. I am surprised at the number of people up and about so early in the morning. Dave
  • This mushroom is quite common in the woods near where I live in Scotland. It looks pretty but is not to be messed with and best left alone. Makes a nice picture just the same. Dave
  • Don't expect any sympathy from me Craig. I could send you plenty clouds but probably not the kind you want. Dave
  • Replied in Back Roads Trip
The main roads around here at this time of year are clogged up by tourists with their minds on anything but driving properly. I do my best to stay out of their way. It helps me to live longer. Dave ...
  • Replied in Precious Metal
You are in top form this week Rich with your great images and entertaining narrative. Not sure I appreciate the reference to Peugeot diesels since that is my daily drive these days. It is ...
  • Replied in Silver Lake
Now I am very envious Craig. I have been up one mountain this month and saw very little from the summit. At least your shot reminds me of what I am missing, Dave
  • Looks like quite a trendy place Andrew with plenty attractions for the female of the species. Like your treatment of the Buddhist idol shots. Dave
  • A lovely set of images Joe. I am drawn to the b/w shot for some reason I can't explain. Dave
  • Replied in Meiss Meadows
A beautiful set of images Craig. I confess to feeling slightly envious of your blue skies. Around these parts we have had 1 day without rain this month. Dave
  • Replied in A Bike Ride
No it wasn't the Tour de France but a ride around some of my local back roads on the scooter. Dalmally village church Some of my favourite hills - been on all the tops you can see. Old farm ...
  • Replied in Makin' Hay
Hay bales are, to me, very photogenic but I will have to wait for a month or two and go over to the east coast to get some shots. No crops around this part. Dave
  • Really like the bridge shots, wonderful colour. Dave
  • Replied in Sprague Lake
Nice set of images. Must be great to live in such an area where you can watch the sunset from your porch. Dave
  • That is a really nice view. I have had an SD10 and an SD14 in the past and found them capable of some great images under the right conditions - low iso and plenty of light. Often think about an SD1 ...
  • There is a really serene feel to your shot but I don't suppose it would stay that way for long once the engines are fired up. Dave
  • Maybe your reputation preceded you Rich! I read that this airship is being replaced next year by a slightly larger version which will incorporate a gondola with a bathroom - handy for us old guys ...
  • I fully understand your impeccable logic Rich. A world without a large Talisker, Highland Park or Old Pultney would be intolerable. The pleasures in life are becoming fewer as my age increases but ...
  • Most of the time I'm a very happy man but when I see your shots of the area you live in I confess to wishing I lived a bit closer. Would love to put my boots on and do some hiking amidst that ...
  • The colour in that shot is simply stunning. Looks like you have a great ' new' toy to play with. Dave
