  • Thanks Jim. It's not that peaceful during the day but in the evening it's perfect. Dave
  • Replied in Meleuka swamp.
Great set of images Dicky especially the birds. That Pardalote is a very pretty little guy. It's a long time since I've seen one of those strange looking items. I remember looking in the back of ...
  • Thanks Rich. Green and damp sums up the conditions nicely. It's a popular location so I waited until evening and had it all to myself. Dave
  • Thanks Dicky. Unlike you, I didn't encounter any wildlife on my walk except for a Robin and hordes of midges. Hope you're doing well. Dave
  • Thanks Rich. I didn't talk to the trees but had a chat with a little Robin that followed me around and hurled a few four letter words at the midges that found me.😃 Dave
  • Thanks Andrew. There's walks of varying lengths in the forest and it's a popular place during the summer days. There was nobody else around when I was there. Dave
  • I took along a tripod and used it for the first couple of pics I took WN. This meant being stationary for too long and the dreaded midges found me and attacked. I put the tripod away for the rest ...
  • My kind of shop Rich. I could easily fill a shopping trolley with that stuff. Despite the chaotic appearance I bet the proprietor knows exactly where everything is. Dave

  • On the whole local people are very friendly Andrew. I've lived here for over 40 years and was a police officer for 20 of those years so I am pretty well known in the town. I reckon I could go into ...
  • Replied in Creran Cattle
There was a lot of burgers and steaks in that field Charlotte. Dave

Thanks Rich. If Buddhists can walk between raindrops, I'm surprised there aren't more of them in Scotland.😊 Dave
  • Replied in Creran Cattle
Thanks WN. I felt I had to photograph something and cows were all I could find. I enjoy watching Paul Morton's travels around Scotland. I get to enjoy the scenery without being eaten alive by midges.😊
