  • Considering how mirrorless cameras work, expecting to find one that does not record video makes tilting at windmills look like a reasonable use of time and effort.
  • It’s for connecting your camera directly to your iPad, which was the topic of the post to which I replied. Assuming your camera came with a USB cable (they generally do)  you have what you need.

    Duet allows the use of an iPad as an external monitor for either a Windows or MacOS computer over USB, but it requires special software on both sides.
  • You have most definitely not been using a smartphone app to control PCB lights for the last month, let alone the last decade.  No such app has ever been released to the public.

    You can’t use the iPad as a video monitor through the lightning port.
