CANON should concentrate on M50 range and modernise it . it is their bestseller. R Series is in high range in price point. $1000 below is the mass market of camera lovers and if any camera company trying wilfully to kill or trying to shift customers to higher price products will fail miserable and risk being ignored by customers who will shift to other competing brand.
A little price drop and bloggers will lap it ! Bloggers dream camera , sony has got the pulse of customers once again !!
ArizonaPete: I see all the Sony zealots (not the normal users, most are nice people) are still in the denial and anger phases.
We probably have a few more days of their crazy posts.
It will be so much nicer when they just buy an R5 or R6 and enter the acceptance phase.
Remark on sony users in bad taste, you have to buy a truck to carry this camera ! Or get a fitness certificate from your doctor to carry it on your back and airlines may charge extra for this luggage!! Take it lightly, I do respect canon.
At $4000 it is like asking Beyonce to be my girlfriend ! I happy with my budget sony cuties.
PLShutterbug: You plan your shot.
You pack your gear.
You arrive at the site.
You carefully set up, and wait for the perfect moment.
You meter carefully.
You choose framing and composition with infinite care.
You choose filters, shutter speed, f/stop, and sensitivity that will achieve your vision of the scene you are photographing.
You wait ...
... and wait ...
... and finally the moment comes. You press the shutter button, knowing your careful preparation will guarantee you the shot of a lifetime.
Did I mention whether I was shooting digital or film?
It doesn’t really matter, folks. The same skills are required, regardless.
You have exactly described the passionate photographer but the new generation do not have the patience, he will click and create the synthetic image in photoshop. Flower is there but without fragrance.
verstovsky: Am I the only one who see strange greenish tint in X-T3's raw files in image quality comparison? Is it my crappy laptop screen or what?
Fuji's favorite color is green since the film days ,remember the green color fujifilm box.
Ha,Ha,Ha !cannot focus on face correctly, sony 6600 is miles ahead with real time eye autofocus as well as sticks to the face no matter what ! With much advanced technology and AI application in sony camera ,other manufacturers are struggling to catch up the tech giant.
Canon sx60 takes flawless picture in daylight and normal conditions, may be canon sx 70 too. I am hard pressed to find any flaws in pictures taken at daytime. Focus and sharpness is very good. And zoom range is very big.
It is a million dollars camera ,I will not look at it , for me sony 6600 with real time eye autofocus is best.
My first camera was agfa isoli 2, just 16 shot from a 120 roll , have to take time for each shot. Thereafter I got a nikon FG 36 shot from a roll. I used to take some time ,think before a shot to make every picture beautiful. I was a better photographer them compared to today.
It is my next lens for sony 6100.
Sony should add sony 18-135 as kit lens with 6100.
RBraham: Has anyone else perceived that the RAW colors of the a6100 are better compared to the a6400?
Pictures in review 6100 looks better than 6400. 6100 pictures look more neutral yet pleasing and crisp.
ravi pratap: Richard sir , is 6100 colors are better and more pleasing than 6400 ? And suggest sony to add 18-135 as kit to 6100 too.
skin tones look yellowish on 6400 and normal in 6100 ? in DPR test.

xeppelin: autofocus improvements are essential to me, not nice to haves. i find af in even the most "advanced" cameras still rather lacklustre. still get plenty a shot with some high contrast fence in background in focus rather than main subject in foreground.
The recent sony s track u even behind fence and unsurprising even in the crowd !

I think sony has almost perfected auto focus with eye and face autofocus tracking which sticks to the subject using AI.
In proper light and especially sun shining in morning and afternoon ,my old cameras Nikon d40x, canon sx700 ,canon sx60 takes equally good pictures as fuji x30, canon 90d , what the new cameras does is to glamourise picture be it face, foliage or scenery. Older camera were very natural and I like what we see is what we click.
No auto focus in video. Sony far ahead in video technology.
Sony 6100 with 18-135 is extremely tempting combination. The combo price is unbeatable.
