About me:

My uncle got me interested in the 1960s, buying me a camera at age 7 and a modest film darkroom at age 10. I shot for the newspaper and yearbook in college (U. Va. in the 1970s) with Nikkormats,
concentrating on sports and concerts. My interest surged again when affordable D-SLRs became available in 2003 (EOS 10D). A year later, I started shooting HS sports for a prep school and local weekly paper with the 1D Mk II. The equipment list grew quickly when I started shooting sports. I expanded into college
football - Georgia Tech and 3 years of the Peach Bowl. In 2011, I switched from Canon to Nikon, selling 4 EOS bodies and 11 EF lenses (mostly L glass). Recently, I stopped (mostly) shooting sports and switched to mirrorless.
