  • Submitted a challenge entry Hello Kitty...
We had spent a good part of the earlier day in the vicinity of a mating pair of tigers. We could hear them, but not see them as they were in the underbush. The next morning, they were still there, but had ventured out closer to the jeep tracks. We took a chance, and decided to go and look for them. And lo and behold - the big male was right in front of us. Probably too close. We had to only sit there, quietly, as we took a few photos of the magnificent beast in the morning sun...then he closed his eyes - after a hard two days...as if saying a small prayer...we were very lucky, we got shots of the tigers mating..very rare in the wild

  • Submitted a challenge entry Walking with Mom!
We were on a Safari in Ranthambore in Rajasthan, India, looking to photograph wild tigers. We had just had the most productive of our trips, that evening, when out walked this magnificent tigress, with her three cubs. Just about 4 month old, it was the first time the mother had walked out of her core territory on a wider exploration of her kingdom. She was on a mission - she had made a kill the night before in valley, and she was leading her cubs to the kill. We spent 10 magical minutes with her family as she traced a path through the backlit trees and across the waiting safari jeep line, and then disappeared into the far end of the plateau

  • Submitted a challenge entry Run, but watch out!
I was in Ranthambore, a tiger reserve in India. We were observing a pair of mating tigers in the grass, across a dry river bed. When suddenly, a couple of Indian Antelope (Nilgai, or blue bull), rushed across the river bed running directly towards the Tigers. The victorious Male antelope was chasing the defeated male. This is the photo of the defeated male, running from his tormentor. Little does he know that in running for the grass, he is running straight at a Hungry Male Tiger. The Tiger observed the two bulls, but ultimately did not complete the attack.
