  • Some of you have asked me for the RAW files. Here is a link to my One Drive. https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ah2ZNRqmQT_9iREg4rFziSca0Jdc Please, let me know if the link works. Thanks

I still don't understand it. Let's say, we are tracking a bird without pressing the shutter. We can follow the bird (or any other moving subject) without an issue. Why can't camera do that while ...
  • I am glad that you found the thread useful. I am sure you will enjoy EOS R. I am enjoying mine.  :)
  • Come on! Where is your sense of fun!! :) Seriously though, I had no intention of doing this. I was away for a couple of days, I come back and I see everybody is talking about banding. I didn't want ...

Great keeper rate with M50. I think M50 was the first camera to use Digic 8, that definitely helped AF and tracking. But slow VF wake up time is no fun. With EOS R it is instantaneous.
  • Created discussion thread EOS R shadows, noise, banding
We already know that EOS R has similar DR as 5D IV. So, the random noise in the shadows should be the same. But there has been some concern about banding. So, did some tests. All RAW. Unless ...

Are you talking about A9? A9 is designed to compete with 1DX II and D5, so I expect it to be much better than another mirrorless for action photography. As some are saying here it may even be as ...

I did, didn't help with BIF, but definitely helpful while shooting in single shot mode.
  • Replied in BIF with EOS R
My hit rate improved over days. Depending on the size of the bird, distance, speed of flight, background etc it is now 70 to 80%. Another thing, when shooting in high-speed mode (not focus priority ...

I am wondering, is it possible not to show each captured frame and allow the camera to track without distraction?
  • Replied in BIF with EOS R
Slideshow effect happens because each captured frame is shown, DSLRs don't need to (or can't) do it when using OVF. Much better, but still feels jerky and not as smooth as DSLRs. I remember Tony ...

No, I haven't. I don't intend to use it as my wildlife camera. But I may try it for fun though. Thanks for your suggestion.

Thank you. After day 1 I did turn the image preview off, didn't help. I wonder why they needed to show images one after another. Why can't they just record the images without showing them in EVF?
  • Replied in BIF with EOS R
Shots were taken with maximum FPS. Turning it down to 3 FPS focus priority isn't helpful, still shows slideshow, but this time each image stays longer in the viewfinder. Yeah, this is a processing ...

After 48 hours I am inclined to say that it was better than expected.

Excellent hand on review you got there.  Z7 plus new lenses seem to be very impressive for many shooting conditions. In my test, I didn't particularly check for AF with background close to the ...

On Day 2 it surely did better than the first day. The first day was distracting because of the fast slideshow type feeling I mentioned above, also I wasn't able to try much as there weren't many ...

Servo AF with focus priority. It felt like about 5 FPS.
