What a sanctimonious response. Typical of a lot of the content on these forums. Of course I’m aware of all that but why bring a new camera (or any product) to market if you can’t produce or ship ...

I don’t understand why camera companies are announcing new cameras if the can’t supply them. It’s crazy and can only damage their brand and push loyal customers elsewhere., or to the used market. ...

Who cares! If it gives you images you like, that is all that matters.

I could use AF-C but I'm a bit old school and always use AF-S with focus and recompose if necessary. For some reason the focus point keeps ending up at top left corner of frame and when you are ...

Are there any current cameras that allow the focus points to be limited in sensor coverage for single point autofocus or the joystick to be turned off in the menu for focus point selection? I have ...

Lots of people have mentioned the space between the lens and the grip on Sony full frame cameras being problematic. I have thin fingers and mine is not comfortable either - ridiculous to just reply...

No such things as pro cameras, only pro photographers. If they earn money from their work then they are pro, whether they use a Nikon D850, Z7 II or a Box Brownie!

None of this technology is needed to take a great photo. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not a photographer, just a tech geek.

Thanks for all the replies, very helpful. I'd like to to be light but comfortable and balanced. I'll try and get somewhere to have a look at the suggestions.

Thanks for your thoughts and for sharing the great UP steam photo. I think my final choice will likely be APSC due to my budget so one of the Sony cameras may work. What is the viewfinder like? ...

No camera stores anywhere near me unfortunately. I know how it feels in the hand I s subjective but was more looking for ideas. It needs to be interchangeable lens though. Mirrorless seem too ...

I am looking for a new camera and hopefully someone can give me some advice. It's more confusing these days with three different sensor formats and DSLR or mirrorless. I don't have a camera at the ...

Tamron’s DSLR lenses have stabilisation, including the DSLR version of this lens, but they are omitting it from their E mount versions. It makes you wonder if Sony are blocking it in case it...

IBIS isn’t as effective at 150mm so no, I prefer lens based stabilisation.

No optical stabiliser again on a Tamron lens - not good at all. I’d rather pay more and get this feature, especially for anything more than 100mm.

A professional is simply someone who earns their living doing something. Pro gear is therefore what they need to carry out their work. It doesn’t have to be high end gear, just capable of doing...
