The SuperResolution feature hasn't been released for PSE (yet)? Their customer support convinced me to upgrade from PSE2020 to 2021 to get CameraRAW 13.2, but when chatting with them again they said it wasn't available for PSE2021 either. :(

I'll save my money for the RX100VIII that I'll hope appear soon...(?)

Impressive! But it makes me slightly seasick watching this since the scene slightly moves all the time.

I've used Vuescan alot on my Windowsmachine, however I'm no fan of the UI.

HEIC-support is broken in PSE2020 on Windows. There are big artifacts (that isn't there when opening the same image in Paint.Net), let's hope they fix it asap.
Too bad they "forgot" to add HEIC-saving. :(

oRBIT2002: I want an RX100 with 4k60 and HEVC support. But I guess that'd be even more expensive and overheat even faster than 5 minutes. ;)

The software in our cameras seems to be pretty far behind the software in our smartphones. Too bad sensors in smartphones are far behind the sensors in our cameras.

iPhone camera-app has always been doing alot of noise reduction since the dawn of time. Compare a photo shot with the stock camera app and compare it to a RAW photo shot by Lightroom on the same phone, you can't believe it's the same camera.

oRBIT2002: I am no expert whatsoever really, but I think the sample JPEG's suffers from quite heavy, what seems like, noise reduction(?). When watching them at 100% it's quite visible, the lack of detail/sharpness. A few years back, I had a Sony DSC-HX90V (I think) and it suffered from the same issues (but way worse). Currently I own a Canon G1XMKII, and obviously it comes with a larger sensor but there's still a big difference in image quality.
Anyway, would be interesting to see the RAW-images (but I can't open them on my setup sadly, DPR, how about providing RAW-images in DNG in the future?).

If these RAW-files requires a an update for Camera Raw that isn't available for the public yet, it makes even more sense converting RAW files to DNG (since obviously no-one can open these files except you guys?).

tkbslc: Why does the 1080p video look so much softer than 4k when viewing at 1080p?

Personally I was refering to the original 2GB file..

I noticed the softer-look aswell but it's probably related to scaling to 1080p. You get alot more details when shooting video at 4K and downscaling to 1080p instead of just shooting in 1080p. I get the same results with my iPhoneSE, my 4K videos looks very nice downscaled to 1080p instead of directly shooting in 1080p.

The warp-stabilization part in the beginning looks really strange in the corners of the video..

I've almost given up on premiere elements (and others) for my video-editing needs. The export-quality of most of them is not very good, compared to if you're recoding with "Handbrake". I use "TMPG Smart renderer" to edit my clips together (lossless) and then recodes it with Handbrake to get a smaller filesize. I tried a few testclips with a few video editors for home users and had to double the bitrate with "cyberlink powerdirector" compared to handbrake to get somewhat equal quality with h.264.

Let's hope they've worked on the noise reduction. The earlier DSC-HX9V would have been great if it weren't for the total lack of details.

My trust in Sony disappeared with the HX9V and the terrible noisereduction. The HX100V seems to suffer from this aswell (look at the pictures in 100%), it doesn't look good. Perhaps not visible on small prints but visible on screen.
