On article Sigma 85mm F1.4 Art sample gallery updated (94 comments in total)

Unlimited resolution in the wide central area, very high global contrast, constant color to other Arts. However edges at infinity leaves something to desire especially the right edge. On the other hand my 1.4G is better in the edges at infinity at every aperture and if stopped down it is corner-to-corner something not easily reachable with Art from these photos. Sensitive design? Complex field curvature at infinity? The adapter maybe? That is the case for many Arts, struggle to get the same sharpness in the edge as in the center for landscapes. Leaves a trace of astigmatism, -not just simple drop in resolution-which is bad-looking. And don't tell me this lens is for portraits only. The same samples from 105 1.4 were ultra sharp corner to corner at 1.4 something unique for a lens and truly impressive, pity was not lens of the year.
Flare control could be better. 1.4G is for sure better on that. Very informative photos DPR thank you, you're the only site that publish such info.

On article Nikon D4s First Impressions Review (1032 comments in total)

Setting "print size" above, which is what matters when comparing noise between
different resolution cameras, actually D4s is about 1/3 stops better than D4 but
what is most impressive is that D800E is better than both, till ISO12800 and not only that, it has more clarity in the image due to high downsampling.
That is trully impressive given that D800E is 2 years old now!
At 25600, D4s goes a bit ahead the D800E.
XT-1 is very good but soft, so comparison is not that easy.
