On article Pentax reveals K lens roadmap for 2012 and 2013 (101 comments in total)

iudex: Pentax needs more inexpensive lenses like the 35mm/2,4 for 180 EUR (I have one and am really happy with it). Having primes for 500-1000 EUR is nice, but for normal users pretty expensive. So better having plastic-mount 50mm/f1,8 for 200 EUR than space-technology-metal 50mm/1,4 for 1000 eur. And even better would be a low-priced 20-30mm prime pancake (a cheaper equivalent to DA 21 Limited costing 500 EUR) for cca. 200-250 eur. Having such a lens I would never take it off my K-r (the 35mm is sometimes long).

I agree with you entirely! The 35mm is a great little lens, and it's cheap (so I can afford it), but most of the time it's too long. I wish, too, there was a 21mm (23.3mm? Rsrs), small and dirt cheap lens to add to my bag. Best regards!
