And preferably don't shoot wide open.

So...all those comments on DFD... while in truth it's perfect, it's just all that beer you guys drink! 😉

Sorry, forgot half of your question; The Mk1 does not have Live Composite, but it does have Live Time and Live Bulb.
-
I'd try to clean the unit first (or have it done) - in a decade some dust could have built up that can block or slow down the movement.
-
Correct: Features the camera itself doesn't have aren't available in WS either.
-
Correct on everything. Still have mine (2017) and can't part of it. Even today very useable as a walkaround cam. The Mk2 didn't get enough credits for how much more complete it was. I use mine as a ...

Very useful information! Makes me wonder if there's a downside the other way around; Panasonic body w Olympus lens would have overly strong UV filtering. (if not, Panny made the smarter choice ;-) ...
-
Doubt it - that would mean producing sort of a second M1.3
-
You made a statement that interested me, but which you won't/can't explain, so now I'm making up arguments? Go troll somewhere else

Thank you Paul, Seems the two brands are less compatible than I've alway thought... I have used some (not many) Panasonic lenses and never noticed this, but it's very plausible the effect can vary ...
-
Well, that helps. But you did boldly say that the color cast with this Panasonic lens was an Olympus/OMD problem. I asked for an explanation, which you don't give.
-
I don't see it with other Panny lenses - Can you explain?
-
At first glance both look good, but side by side I notice two things from the Panny: - the purple colour cast over the wooden table - the blue 'halo' around the trees in the background when stopped ...

In short, yes, the EM1.3 offers almost the same features, but the OM1 does them faster. The EM1.3 brings a little better AF, OM1 a big step. And the OM1 has nicer EVF and menus. If you want a next ...
-
Yes, it's confusing, but what is meant is that ISO 100 is equal to shooting at ISO 200 +1ev and then compensate with -1ev. So you get double the exposure time, just like when you halfen the ISO. In ...
-
I'm not one of them, but I do understand people being fond of their tool and wish for a newer generation. And what you saying is basicly true, but oly/omd did came with the P7 in exactly this same ...
-
You're right that the Pen-F doesn't meet todays standards, but are these shortcomings not just the reason why a lot of people want a successor? I for one totally understand why this camera still ...
-
Yes, you and Smillo gave the right answer. If you use a lens with OIS (not sync IS compatable, like Panny) and "lens priority"= ON, OIS is used. If you switch off OIS on the lens, IBIS is used. So ...
-
Yes you can adjust colours, accesable by scp. Though I'd recommend shooting in RAW an adjusting in post: you can set/save a personal profile in any software. I don't think the color wheel gets you ...
-
Apparently you just don't like the Olympus colours, so consider yourself lucky that the RAW converter you're using process the RAW's to you taste. Shoot RAW and be happy.
