KInfinity: What kind of unique projects could you do with a F0.65 autofocus prime?
I love my 1.8 Nikon primes on a DX camera, and 2.0 fixed lens FUJI product. However, without zoom and OIS, they aren't really good for video, especially handheld. So, a fixed, fast prime makes me think of 2 possibilities:
1. People staged to stand in the same distance from the camera, producing a beautiful, very blurred background. I see this a lot on Medium format shots, and Humans of New York's (most older) photos with his Canon 50mm F/1.2. It's a nice style.
2. artistic photos of objects, made to look like intriguing or miniature by throwing out the background. Which, is cool too. Ex. this artist that I follow: https://www.flickr.com/photos/catmacbride/albums/72157636245727306
For video...
I guess you could combined the .65/.95 lens with a camera, with built-in OIS. Wonder what the result would be? Anyone tried this with a FF camera and a 50mm F/1.2. ?
i have tested my noct f1,2 on a Z6 with the adapter works like magic
Nikon yes afcourse its technical possible to make a f0,65 and Nikon would make it just becuase they can.
Realisticly a 4 pound lens not very practical on a body of half a pound?
making the F mount lenses with an adapter whithout af be most a praised i hope the make it an manual Z /F adapter next to the Af version it makes a lot of sense to a lot of us.
All photographers Before we judge this lens.
You have to know sommering of the past in Nikon design making.
I can only agree on one part about the size it is too long to heavy on a Z body.
color is very good but its realy grainy and it can't win from a 4/3 sensor don't even mention larger sensor camera's although technic is devolping fast and if one of the mobile market would infest in the new nano techniek wich has the potential for making beter lenses they can think about bringing more licht to these tiny sensors there is proberly a new invention needed for the samller sensors i think time wil tell for the moment every body on earth has a mobile good enough mini camera for personal use
Bas Veerkamp: If you can shoot and don't crop its stil beauty why? because not to many big file's but stil great enough to enlarge.
The nice thing is that it stil offers you a professional body there is realy not any current nikon that can compete with that.
Dont get me wrong if you have a d4 or so d4s d5 and the d810 is to many pixels for most people ofcourse if you cant shoot get the 36 megapixel camera's you can crop a lot.
Hey Litle while ago no its not the D600 is still a heck of a camera but its hasnt the pro build its sharper in some cases if you enlarge it its also smaller size so if you like al those things dont forget the outline of the buttons are also not pro pro makes it easy to change things very fast with just one touch of a button greetings Bas

David Rogoff: Question: I want to move up from a Sony A33 to a full-frame DSLR. I'm mostly interested in low/natural-light indoor and architectural photography. Given this, what would I miss out if I picked up a used D700 vs. the latest D610? I think 12MP would be fine if they're good pixels!
Thanks!
David
D700 is the beter choice
Great Photo little les be-hind would be even better but i think its stil a great shot.I have got the same lens mine is just back from nikon repair.
I know why i love the lens again thanks for showing the picture whit us.

Thanks K E hoffman.
for youre' answer.
I can totaly agree lens is stil the best investment,
I hope to see a d400 or 9300 and like the bionz tech of sony.
But i stil use my d7000 and stil cant forget my d700.
Greetings Bas from Purmerend City of the terror Oehoe
nice idea too fit the lenses in the bag.
but there must be more space for the lenses in the example if you close the bag the two lenses touch each other something you like to afoid.
When the bag shakes the lenses wil be too close together inside!!!
the bag needs a better design i like the idea of the fitting its smart.
redisgn so you can fit the lenses safely so they don't touch each other and there wil be a lot off people willing to donate including me.
Greetings from holland.
Nice Review Compare samples that i can see of the d7200 to the SLT-A77 II i dont like the quality off the SLT-A77 II i thought it would be the same sensor must be different upload ore its something totally different.
RomanC: Dear Dpreview team,
I have to decide if I will buy a A7 II or a A7 S. For wedding photography I currently use an old Sony R-1 (don't laugh!). It was always possible to work with it without a flash in the church if it was bright enough outside, I don't like flash lights, especially at wedding ceremonies. And: I love this camera because it's shutter is nearly unnoticeable, so can work without attracting attention.
Now I want tu upgrade to a full-format Camera. I read that the A7 S has an (activatable) electronic shutter which makes it possible to take photos without any noise. What's about the A7 II? I could not find any information if this 'noiseless mode' is also available on this model.
Kindest,
Roman
I like the newest camera's funtions and revolutionair changes but stil Notting changes to making pictures with film its stil the photographer that wil do the work not the camera's maybe its getting a Lille easy whit the newest gear
As a nikon user i Will stick to my ai ais lenses but its Nice to see so many good changes by Sony and they build nice camera's too dont forget iTS stil the photographer that wil make the pictures and al the camera's have simeliar basic phothography settings.
Only hidden slightly different in a menu i almost never need a instruction Manuel just pick up the camera and try to use youre basic understanding of phothography look at the icons ;)
I hade most of the same expirience that Jeff had great writing
Although i already switch to lightroom i lovend iPhoto and Aperture and found photos only a method to get grip of iPhone and iPad users wich for them it is fun and new apple CEO must have thought money so Lets make it commerciale benefith of al People get grip of that.
A no think method to a lot off the magic of apple is gone and more and more changes are made also on the hardware only to fill up pockets in a short time and most that made apple is fading away this wil only work for à short time Iam sure à lot of People agree.
Commerciale apple is going to change the Healthy compettition they had towards Microsoft and more companies so sad they wil loose the magic the they had.
We wil mis you Steve after great kings most of the build castles and ground breaking changes of evolutions wil be histhory.
i was surprises that nikon has à open ear about ideas and is willing to give good answers to the questions.
i hope the commercial drive of working whit different companies togehter does nor slow them down in devolpment.
Great job from interviewer!!
It took me a while to get juse to the d7000 the ergonomics are just fine only lighter body after my d200 which was outdated a long time ago on which i got
great foto's only the colors are very different from my old d200 which i liked a lot never thought about the 10 mp
