About me:

Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Brian Smith has been creating bold, graphic portraits of celebrities, athletes and executives for advertising, magazines and corporations for the past 30 years. Smith's photographs of famous and infamous faces of the noteworthy and notorious have graced the covers and pages of hundreds of magazines. His first magazine photograph appeared in LIFE Magazine when Smith was a 20-year-old journalism student at the University of Missouri. Five years later, Smith won the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography for his photographs of the Los Angeles Olympic Games. He was again a finalist for the Pulitzer for his photographs of Haiti in Turmoil. His photograph of Greg Louganis hitting his head on the diving board at the Seoul Olympics won first place in both World Press Photo and the Pictures of the Year competition.

In reply to:

Mark Banas: You've got the names of all the photographers to be interviewed, and of the industry reps expected to chatter on about their wares... but what of the all-important list of DPReview staff that will be appearing?
Will Rishi expound on his ultra-macro work?
Will Simon make an appearance in between meetings?
Will Barney stroke his facial hair thoughtfully?
Will Allison be the hand model for a 1Dx?
And what about the coffee??!!?

I might just have to tune in...

Coffee is dandy, but I'm hoping for a far less-caffeinated beverage (or two) when I land...

Steve McCurry is an amazing artist. It's a shame to see the end of his favorite medium though I'm certain his artistry will be just as strong.
