Not all users find the shallow 'front porch' to be an impediment. But this user finds the button placement to be ergonomically superior to the 100s. Of course, that could be an anatomical issue ...

I own all 4 GFX cameras (GFX100, 100s, 50s, 50r) and have no intention of selling any of them. The current used value of the 50R or, for that matter, the 50s, is hardly an enticement to sell, and ...

You are welcome. I use that lens/camera'Fringer combo with a monopod and it works well.

Hello, I own both the Canon EF 100-400mm USM IS II lens, as well as the Fringer Pro EF-GF adapter, and can attest to the fact that they work well on the GFX100 and GFX100s. AF is fast and ...

LOL. I guess the word "outdone" should be replaced with, underdone. If I had to pick one element that outshines the GFX100, as compared to the 100s, it would IMO be weight. But I personally ...
-
"ts was an amazing design/size for a medium format body (but now outdone by the 50s, 100s, X1D and X2D series cameras)." Your response to the OP left me confused. How exactly has the GFX100 been ...

Odd that you should mention a 'video head', since I have two monopods—RRS and Gitzo—both of which are fitted with video fluid heads that I find more manageable for stills as well as video with the ...

In my experience, more sections equate to less overall rigidity, unless you only extend what often amounts to the first 3 sections.

Sigma lenses work in AF with the R5c, and oddly enough, the Tamron lenses work in AF with my Canon C300 Mk III, just not with the R5c. Some time ago, I had contacted Tamron and had been told that ...

I agree, the button is a stretch to reach for some hands, including my own. The AF-on button on the GFX100 is more ergonomically located. As for a 3D printed button, are you suggesting an ...

I can't comment in re the GF 100-200, however, here is a link to the Ken Rockwell review of the Canon 100-400 that you might find interesting: https://mail.kenrockwell.com/canon/lenses/100-400mm-ii.htm

I just tested a brand new Canon EF F/4.5-5.6 100-400mm IS II—currently at a reduced price—via the Fringer Pro EF-GFX adapter, on both my GFX100 and 100s, and found it to be tack sharp up to ...

There is a firmware update for the R5c, version 1.0.2.1, that fixes the internal microphone issue, where it could not be turned off for external microphone use. It can now be turned off.

I use an 87 watt PD power bank with my R5c for long duration shoots and it works transparently. The R5 should be no different.

The PL mount primes are obviously not compatible, and the EF mount Canon Cine lenses will not have any electronic contacts, but I would guess that they should work in full manual. I have a set of ...

I'd received 2 OEM—Canon— LP-E6NH batteries from B&H towards the beginning of this week, although they had been on backorder for a sometime.

Conversation with Tamron Support had revealed that "they do not test their lenses with CINE cameras," and have no intention of doing so. I doubt that there will be a fix coming from their end. ...

Hello, Fear not, you hadn't hurt my feelings in the slightest. I simply wanted to point out that the 'Video' menus on the R5c are far from nonsense and are by no means cluttered. It really is a ...

"...advanced video nonsense." For anyone truly interested in cinematography, the video side of the R5c is not the embodiment of "advanced video nonsense." The menu and functions mirror—for the ...

I cannot guarantee that this is relevant for the R5, but the Tamron G2 lenses do not AF on the new Canon R5c in 'Video' mode. A conversation with Tamron tech support had not been rewarding, as ...
