Tord, I have to agree with all your findings. Even my cheap LG phone usually does a great job when needed. But, using it to take a picture that I care about is just not much fun.

Thanks! Our air is still full of ash although the fire in our nearby mountains seems under controlled and about half contained. This is tonight's sunset, a little better.

Makes sense to just go to manual except for my own character quirks :) I am no longer particularly good at managing the camera manually. I seem to have lost most of that skill shortly after I ...

Paul, I had upgraded the firmware earlier. The V1 and FT1 are now at 1.4, 1.4, 1.2.

Well, I obviously hesitate to say problem solved but the lens now seems usable. I believe the problem was dimensional/mechanical; the lens contacts were marginally engaging the FT1 contacts but ...

He gets a great big smile from me every time you post a picture of him. So far, I am thinking that his name suits his looks greatly. Is there a story attached to the name?

I have occasionally mentioned problems with my Tamron lenses but from time to time I go try them again because I like the image quality compared to all my other choices. So I am in another one of ...

We have orioles that come to steal our humingbird food but usually only in the springtime. Nice pics. I wish I could routinely do as well.

It works indeed! Very nice. Thanks.
