Beautiful. In my opinion this photo could very well have been the winner of the challenge.

quadrox: This image has not scored a top place, but I absolutely love it. You have a good eye for composition!

Oops! I am sorry about my strange reply to your kind comment. For some reason I thought you commented on anoter image in another challenge. It was my mistake. All the best, Starsta.

Thank you very much. First when I saw the image on my camera screen I thought I should erase it. But I didn't and strangely, with time I have come to like it. No one can tell what species those birds are but it does not matter. To me the image brings back dear memories from an evening by a forest river. And also, I do think that in some respect it is a representation of speed.

ILoveAsianGirls: This entry captures the spirit of the challenge better than all the others. There's no boats, people, or animals around, and the pier is dilapidated. It truly looks like nothing has been here for 100 years.

Hello and thank you. The photo was taken with an old compact camera. Maybe that is the reason it didn't score so well.

Excellent!

Thank you. It was a misty day. I had driven up a hill to take pictures of the mist filled valley below. When I was about to leave the mist had begun to spread to the road.

abiquiuense: Nice job. And, none the worse for the wear and tear, I might add. Old photo and well worth seeing today. I voted. Nice, very nice.

Thank you very much. Yes, it is an old photo taken with a camera that was announced 12 years ago. The camera works well even today. I think the built in lens is good but the image quality is of course inferior to that of modern cameras.

Yes, these boots still walk. They have been mine since they were new, 16 or 17 years ago.

I think this image deserves a much higher rank than second last. It has life in it, nice colours and movement.
