Olympus have been innovators in photography. I still have my film OM-2. It was a break through in compact DSLR design. It's compact size enabled me to take it bush walking on extended hikes with great shots with minimal back pain.

I think it is called brand loyalty but I have a soft spot for innovators!

I enjoyed Canon and a suite of their great lenses but they are not user friendly for travel.

I traded the lot for the OMD E-M1 a few years back and now enjoy the 12-100 which for me is the perfect all round camera/ lens combination for travel and general photography.

I think clunky DSLR cameras are on the way out like VHS, Cd's and the like.

Roger Hill. Olympus OM-2, I have had it since it was launched,1980? It was small enough to take on extended hikes. Now I use OMD EM-1. I also have a Yashica Matt twin lens reflex which was excellent back in my B&W days
