more or less the same thing with me too ... although for most commercial applications digital is the cheapest/best solution, for most other uses, still film beats digital in a few yet vital areas...

yes, more good points ... with this background info, i guess using that term for 'a digital sensor' entire area light capture' and things like that kind of sets in right though, don't you agree?...

you're right ... but the point is, back then largest capacity for a memory card was barely more than 2GB and not all 'small' digital cameras CPUs could address that much memory to begin with ......

then this IS surely a scam, deserving a class action suite ... :D what i meant was / is, if someone can make something like this (at any storage capacity) and make it work like the real thing too,...

this is surely a very good option to have on digital video cameras ... but end results are more or less the same: crop while shooting video and lose some image clarity (if not resolution) already,...

good info here! learned something 'new' i didn't know so far, thanks! :-) it's then pretty much similar to how the term Dynamic Range in digital photography and video was borrowed from the audio...

i agree this does sound like a scam ... but seeing there is extra circuitry there makes me like to 'acid-test' it to see how it performs, at least as storage media, and then working as system drive...
