Not really, I never carry it in a pocket anyway. Always have it in a small camera bag. I have the lens hood permanently on, just don’t use the filter as I want to maximise image quality.

Fair enough, sounds like a good idea. I stopped using my filter a while back. Decided I could live without it. No dust so far that i've noticed either.

I presume you are getting the wide conversion lens?. I have it also - very good lens with 21mm FOV. Plenty of good reviews of this lens. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

So glad I have my Nikon 1 CX70-300mm. Fantastic lens - light and sharp with 810mm equivalent at the long end.

Bushwalking today, here in New Zealand. Grey day so tried the black and white setting in my Ricoh. Did some very minor in camera raw editing only. happy for any further editing
