zkz5: Is Canon Rumors run by the same flake as Sony Alpha Rumors? A SR/CR5 on the later may as well be a SR/CR2 on any other site.

Canon Rumors releases both legit rumors and absolute trash that is published only for click-bait purposes.
For legitimate Canon rumors, the best source in English is Canon Watch. Nokishita is probably the best overall, but requires some help from Google translate for people who don't speak Japanese :)

I'd have bought Loupedeck+ long ago if it worked with Photolab and/or Affinity.

TyphoonTW: The color wheel looks neat, but I'll be skipping this update. I mean, i would have skipped version 2 as well, if it didn't have the modules for one of my cameras that was not supported by version 1.
I'll probably end up buying it in a few years after I buy a new camera body and the new modules are obviously only compatible with version 3. Sigh.
"Then why don't you use a different software?!?" -> best noise reduction and very fast batch processing. I just wished DxO followed a business strategy more similar to Affinity, which is my post-RAW conversion editor of choice.

With Affinity Photo updates are free. You buy the software, it's your and that's it. They don't come up with:"Oh your new camera saves files in a different format? Sure we support those files...but only if you upgrade to the latest version!".
The only thing Affinity is missing to become the only software I require for editing is better/faster raw conversions. I shoot indoor sports and with DxO it's easy to select all the photos I want to edit, apply the same basic settings to all/most of them and export, while with Affinity the process is more tedious.

3 and a half years to innovate and move forward. Result: The same camera served all over again.. with a slightly different dressing.

So much work done! Bravo Canon!

Are you referring to the A92 which is basically an A9 with updated wifi ?_?

The overall winner and the behaviour:birds photos were my favorites, but there were a lot of beautiful photos! I'm glad I don't have to pick a winner in this kind of contest.

Oh God, I can already sense the impending stream of portrait pics taken using this lens, showing half an eye in proper focus around the pupil and everything else completely blurred out.

Hold on a second... When Canon and Nikon release cameras with mild improvements we get talks about cripple hammers, they're not innovating etc etc, yet when Sony releases a copy/paste of a nearly 3 years camera it's a good marketing move because the improvements are apparently aimed to professionals? Is this the Twilight Zone?

I'm very happy with my 7 Black so I have 0 interest in the new version, but if Media/Display mod combo is retro compatible and it's possible to use it on the 7...that would make me open my wallet.

The birds photo had me do a double take xD "Wait, what...it's a GARDEN's competition, what the..." then I read the category, hahaha xD

Many interesting photos, my favorite is the #12 (even if the out-of-focus yellow flower too close to the camera slightly annoys me)

MannyZero: Memo to Chris & Gordon:
1- Should had checked, before packing, the fact that Barceloneses or Catalans, are recognized, not only in Spain, but in Europe, as sharp dressers.
2-Chris, those mustard pants and docker shoes are asking to be promoted to The Salvation Army Reserve.
3-Gordon...That tuque...South Park Looks are no longer a fashion.
OK, It's common knowledge that North American males are not sharp dressers. That's why we get wives.
Being dressed in rags and totting a $3,697.99 – $6,895.98 camera, well, it may send a cross message.

Most robbers would think:"Those two look like hobos....their cameras are probably worth nothing". It might have been a strategy all along!

Lan: The thing about special editions is, they need to be special. Making so many "special" editions erodes that. Eventually, even the 1000 or so Leica collectors will just say "no", you did this last week, and the week before, and the week before that...

"Eventually, even the 1000 or so Leica collectors will just say "no" "

I doubt it will ever happen.

Weird, at f2.8 I'd expect both eyes to be in focus. The front one is clearly out of focus.

That's a very smart design. We've seen some absolute garbage being promoted on Kickstarter when it comes to photography, but this is an interesting and versatile idea.

Ps: "handheld tripod" in my non-vlogger mind is such a weird oxymoron xD

Outdoor pics look good. High iso pics indoor look awful. And by "high" I mean that already at iso 3200 players' skin looks like mush.
3000$ for D500 + Tamron 70-200 f2.8 vs 4500$ for the m1x + 40-150 f2.8....well, if had to buy a non-full frame camera for sport or actions, I'd definitely get the Nikon setup (and a 7D2 would be even cheaper).

"Bu...but the aps-c setup is 5/600g heavier", yeah and also add the weight of the 1500$+ still in the pocket.

Neat camera for anyone shooting in dailyght only, but the price/performance ratio is severely lacking.
