Twice as expensive as the new Z40/2. And they don't even dare publishing fullsize samples. 2 MP is what I had in 2003. :-)

Thoughts R Us: "Did Apple's iPhone 13 ‘Cinematic Mode’ just revolutionize mobile cinematography?"

Short answer: Yes.

This will prove a very popular feature. Once this camera drops, expect to see a lot of this on social media.

When everyone uses it it will be just a trick and cinematographers will stop using it.

In the pictures the camera setup looks like an electric stove I had. Mine had four 'cameras'.

Why not target a date for 1 Gp straight away?

Why is this guy with a beard the main image subject in the video for almost the whole time? I'm interested in the camera, but the time I get to see it is so disappointing I'd prefer photos of the thing instead.

Leonp: IBIS on a Zfc. I want it!

I don't care how it's done but the title of the article says so:
"Megadap's ETZ11 adapter brings AF, aperture and IBIS to E mount lenses on Nikon Z cameras"

Samuel Lucifer: imho - No shoulderbag is comfortable when there is gear in it.

Shoulder bags are all right to carry from the car park to the place you have to be, not exceding 300 ft.

Gesture: Can these technologies be applied to larger camera sensors or are they already?

Thanks aptina for the confirmation there's more chroma noise, that needs correction in a non-naive pipeline.

Wouldn't it be logical to assume rgwb sensors have more color noise? Of couse this is not what's mentioned.

Funny that the 'night mode off'-picture looks a lot more like night than the night mode on-one.

"with very little visible grain".
If you don't look at the samples you, indeed, will not see any grain.

Sproesser: The final image of the series shows the moon behind a fence. The artist claims he took the picture with the moon in position. The sunlight creates shadows on the fence suggesting the sun is coming from the left. The moon clearly shows light coming from the right. Obviously this photo is a composite. I certainly don’t mind the image being a composite, but don’t lie about it!

Because, as said, you are overthinking it.

"I'm rich. I don't care." is a lame excuse weisman.

Almost a week has passed now. No-one official seems to care. So this means that photoshopping pieces together is permitted?

If I pixelpeep foto no. 2 it's obvious it's a badly enlarged picture file of (exactly) 480x360 pixels.
If that's enough for a second place here I don't see a reason to upgrade my 0,5 MP Nokia cellphone to an Iphone, let alone an expensive one.
So this saves me a lot of cash. Thanks Apple!

It's great fun to compare these manuals with (downloaded) manuals of nowadays camera's and then argue about usability and things.

TomCodyPleasedToMeetYa: I assume it would work on a zfc with a slightly longer focal length? Would be another nice light small lens for that system.

I don't think you can design a lens for apsc that then just happens to cover the FF image circle with any image quality.
