Holy moly those photos r really poor. For less money you can get a sx730is (which fits in ur pocket) and have 960mm equivalent and much, much better quality photos (as long as a person doesn't foolishly set to auto).

Hurray and huzzah to this post!

This is what I've been saying for years, mostly to stony silence from the flat chart people in the lens forum.
Give me a Nikon 14-24G or the 28 1.8 G both of which have the correct field curvature for landscape and I'll be able to focus on the mountain at f7.1 with sharp sides and corners. No fiddling with hyperfocal needed.

But flat chart lab performance is what photography is all about! Not composition, lighting, timing, etc I mean what would Cartier-Bresson have done without detailed chart testing? (Sarcasm)
