Indoors it really does its job. Its useless in large tall halls but in typical indoor apartments/flats where the height is about 2.5-3.0 meters its more then enough.

You are talking about DIRECT flash while I am talking about BOUNCE flash where you shoot the flash in the ceiling.

That was (BOUNCE) you will not get any shadows because lens is 'too...

I REALLY liked in all other SONY a6xxx and a5xxx bodies the built-in flash that could be used as bounce flash. It was more then enough for most situations.
