John, could you give us all an update when your camera arrives and, particularly, as to if it has an English Menu amongst the options. Cheers, Phil

Here in UK a friend of a friend's Panamoz -bought Nikon developed a problem with just a couple of months remaining of the 3 years Panamoz Warranty. Nikon UK repaired it without question and Panamoz ...

Remove the battery for a couple of minutes, replace and see if the problem persists. If it's cleared then do a factory reset. If this doesn't work it maybe a trip to the repair centre.

Number 1 is camera shake - definitely. Easy to do at 1/125 second exposure time.

I have to say that, like the 14-24mm, the 18-35 G also makes me smile when I see the images it produces. It's light as a feather to boot. So good that I sold my 20mm f1.8 G lens, which aside from ...

As someone once said the 14-24 is the best lens I hardly ever use, but when I do it makes me smile. I'll second that. It might as well be a 14-18mm lens for me, for that's where I use it. Hardly ...

I do know how you feel. It would have been polite to have asked your permission to print the photograph and I'm sure you would have said yes- but you weren't asked and it rankles somehow. This is ...

I think I can beat your story. I sold my D700 for £1100/ $1200 with 6,000 clicks - so you can tell how long ago that was. It was my pro back-up for my D3 and since I had acquired a new D3S I ...

In the days of film when I started my career Nikon was the only game in town used by pro's. The Nikon F was King. I can honestly say I never saw Canon's equivalent (also called an F model I think) ...

This technique used to be called "subtractive lighting" when I started in the 80s. Lastolite and others made black pop up light absorbers in various shapes. Fine if you've got assistants and ages...
