I have owned and used three generations of these cameras. First, a Nikkkormat FS(no meter), then a Nikomat non-AI indexing, and then two AI indexing Nikkormats. I thought all were great cameras, the most user unfreindly feature for me was the nonAI lens indexing. While I used them and loved them for thirty years, I moved to the D200 when it came along. I have no desire to go back.
CCD FTW: And still no mention of the A99 II when comparing to 'the competition'.
I have not had the time (yet) to read through the replies, however, I would like to see a highly comparable test performed with relevant cameras. This report is hard to put into perspective as a standalone with just fleeting references to other cameras. Can't tell if this is a bad report, good report or excellent report. Sorry if this comment is redundant.
