Believe it or not, there's an advantage to small sensor compacts in street photography. I could like this camera if it were even smaller, like the size of a Ricoh GR-D. It definitely is one ugly camera, however.

What ever happened to the camera as an extension of the eye? Professional photographers will be flocking to get one of these pretty manual focus only bricks, I'm sure. Now get these back to the size of an X1 with the same capabilities and we'll talk. I'll stick with my Ricoh GR-D for photos where I need to capture Images a la Sauvette with a discreet camera as the Leica M series does not offer me anything my D700 does not already provide.

Great photo, although, I feel as if you missed an opportunity to shoot lower and capture the leading lines of the ripples in the sand.
