Your first two pictures are not really comparable as you have not sharpened each to the same degree. For instance the tree branches at the upper right have sharpening halos aound them in the X-T5 ...

Whatever anyone tells you on this, or any other, forum your choice of RAW development software is totally up to you. Choose a software that gets the results you want while being easy to understand ...

Thanks for your reply. I had a browse of the PhotoLab community forum and although there are posts of similar subjects but none really ticked the right boxes for me. As you may have noticed I have ...

Thanks for your reply. Yes my screenshot is close that is because the screenshot was from my Capture One using the 'Linear' Curve, not from PhotoLab. I can get just as close with PhotoLab if I ...

Peter, Many thanks for your reply however, I am sorry to disagree with you. I tried all the 'Color Rendering', 'Category' and 'Rendering' settings but could not find one that has a true linear tone ...

I'll continue searching. That technique is only useful to inspect a single point on a single image. It does not simultaneously display multi point values simultaneously on multiple images.

4th (last) question in https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/66715097 I'll give it a try. Readout values vary depending on which proofing profile has been selected. That's unfortunate.

Although, as you all know, I'm a firm Capture One user, however I decided to give DxOs' PhotoLab 6 a try and I could do with a little help. I have read the manual, but I could not find answers. So ...

Other opinions differ but here is mine (head in the lions' mouth again). Basically the focal length of the lens used (116mm) is inappropriate for obtaining an image with the large sharp depth of ...

You have probably tried the following but just in case;- (I don't have an X-T5 or X-H2 so I used sample shot by 'Imaging Rescource' ISO 125, f/8, 1/8sec, 56mm.) 1. Judicious use of 'Structure' can ...

You are correct in that the 'Loyalty Scheme' NEEDS explaining in detail and ASAP. I have had a minor sense of unease for the last few years regarding Capture One and that sense of unease has just ...

Alex, I believe that what you consider as noise is actually water vapor in the air. Also the image encompasses a large dynamic range. Anyway, here is my quick and simple bash at it using Capture ...

I don't think that you should rely on my processing of these two images to say one is flatter than the other. Remember that my processing was ONLY trying to get both images similar to each other ...
