I have always enjoyed your series Ilya, I have noticed recently some changes in your vision for these images, different lighting and processing. Have you been experimenting more?

I’m in the same boat, from having custom laptops to monster spec intel apple MacBook pros , this brew chipset is really something!

i am definitely taking to the gh6 for stills. Having used Olympus bodies for so many years, and really having a solid understanding of how to get the best out of their sensors, this new 25mp ...

It really is about the colour. I do wish I could ask their engineers if that was why they made the compromises they made. i recently shot a gh5 alongside the gh6 and it is night and day how much ...

Thought I might share these as I prepped them for another purpose. The GH6 continues to impress and I am slowly making friends with it for my stills :) A few days ago my youngest had to be admitted ...

rendering, I love the 1.7 zooms, and they are hard to beat for convenience, but the primes produce a different image.

I have wanted to get it, and occasionally look for content or images, I just don’t think it has really sold much at all, and I know how I struggled with the f0.95 lenses hitting focus!

I have used one regularly on the gh6, mostly for video. The 10-25 focal range is just perfect for documentary and indoor shooting. Almost all the video in this website site was shot with the gh6 ...
-
This is just for fun! But I was watching a YouTube reviewer break down the features of the GH6 and a thought occurred to me about why they used the sensor they did. One of his points of emphasis, ...

Interesting findings. I have an s1r and r5 in the studio with a few gh6 bodies and while the r5 is no slouch, the colour and character of the gh6 footage is far better! While I can definitely see ...

I would think there are plenty of people, just not much of an influencer crowd. Plus in this format we have Panasonic that uses all the lenses. Having used the em1.3 for video work for years I can ...

Revisiting this, it is hard to get the vlog back to a rec709 using normal adjustments. Going to see if i can get the Panasonic LUT into Lightroom mobile by syncing from the cloud.
-
i have tried it out, Panasonic has a good vlog lot available. It would be an interesting experiment to treat vlog in stills as a very light RAW file. might just try it out tonight and see how it ...

I think my wife has had her final say ;) good job you, we can’t all have sons :p i agree my main point is that one stop at base ISO isn’t the end of the world. It’s also a price to pay for ...

I didn't much use those modes in the GH5... however we had a 6k photo mode, which can easily be replicated with open gate at 5.7k, one simply has to watch the shutter speed for motion blur.

I should have mentioned the other image everyone really loved was a composition including ivy, and the side of a building. The people on set were all designers and stylists... so not a bad bunch ...

Absolutely, I also has an e3 print done for the same shoot at 20 x 30 approx, looked fab as well!

You can also toss in that expectations change, once you have enjoyed 20mp, 10 becomes much les satisfying :)

We just completed a last minute shoot for a major imaging company, we had to put together lots of pictures to show off their framing and quality. One of the pictures I slipped in was of 3 of my ...

You are also missing the curves adjustment. This was not just any backlighting. Little Atticus has a black bib, and a room where there is no light or window on the camera side. The camera certainly ...
