Consider XF18 too .... super compact. I have both the 16 and the 18. While the 16 is an awesome lens, the XF18 is no slouch and is super light. Or the 23/2 to reduce weight
-
Maybe the Xt20+16-50 (for daytime) and a wide low light prime for evenings
-
I agree that the new sensors are good and I can push them beyond ISO 6400 etc. In low light, I (personally) don't see a huge real world difference between my X-pro1, X-E2, X-T20 and my FF monster ...
-
go to http://www.photonstophotos.net/Charts/PDR.htm Compare .... at ISO6400, the 16MP sensors are a stop better. The performance is better than that of most cameras (the A7R3 equals the performance ...

I think the 16 (or maybe the 14), X100, 56 (60mm if weight is a concern) is a great kit.
-
I have gone on trips to Disneyland with only the 16 and the 56 and it served me well, especially after dusk
-
Just curious why you didn't add the 16/1.4. I think the 23/1.4 is amazing with 0 distortion (even better than many Zeiss lenses) but lots of experts (I am not one) feel that the 16/1.4 is even better.
-
I have tried the f2 and I decided to keep the f1.4 ... if I need a fast WR lens it will probably be the 23/2 (although the 23/1.4 is amazing!)
-
Of course I would love to maximize current lenses instead of more buy/sell. I want to first eliminate operator errors :) hence the thread.

Use RAW+JPG. NR-4, Shadow/Highlights- Single shot AF Center or zone for AF
-
I dont do C-AF most of the time. Its just single shot. Use RAW+JPG. NR-4, Shadow/Highlights-
-
Its not for chasing kids .... but that makes sense given the focal length. I think the 90 is very fast for a 90 :) Something like that in a shorter focal length is what I am looking for
-
Have a T20, P1 with the f/1.4 primes trio + 56/1.2, 90/2 .... I find the T20 still slow for chasing kids .... else Fuji works for me (awesome SOOC and lenses). Is the answer an E3+23/2? Which is ...

Aaah, the wonderful rendering/colors from the XP1 and .... Paris!
-
Deed: haven't sold the RX1 yet hence that is indeed the backup P&S - weighs a little more than the 23/1.4 lens :)
-
I have experience with the awesome Zeiss primes with the Sony FF sensors (A7R, RX1) and I have a Fuji X-t20, P1 etc. It takes me a lot of LR-time (and time is expensive) to get the skin colors ...
-
I was planning to get a X-Pro2 and have my T20 as a backup. the backup has become my primary!
-
The T20 should be as good as the E3 ..... actually while I love the rangefinder format, I am beginning to see the value of the tilt screen and the touch screen to choose the focal point. FWIW I ...

Loved your gallery. I think you could try the X-T20 or X-E3 - it should be close to the DR of a D810 except at low ISOs where its hard to match that Sony sensor. At high ISOs even my X-pro1 will ...
-
Its because of this rep, the 18 is so cheap. However the 18 has a very nice rendering ... and pant pocketable :)
