Compact40MP: Is that Elia Locardi in the background (pic no.5)? So it's aimed at landscape photographers, too. Elia is promoting Fuji XT series very actively.
What about Zak Arias, another Fuji ambassador, who spent whole his energy to convince us that APS-C sensors are all we need, with one of his famous videos ("the difference between sizes is NEGLIGIBLE)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHYidejT3KY
I'm really interested to hear what will these ambassadors come up with to convince us that, actually, MF is all we need.

What are you speechless now, you pathetic little sissy?

But, I just scratched the surface here. This is a masterpiece, it should be analized further.
The teacher- pupil analogy is a light, or naive, version.
The more serious analogy with the stck is the Master, Domina and BDSM analogy.
He is waving with his stick so agresively, that you become scared. He's pis..ed off, that the relation between him and the observer becomes very clear- he is the Master.
And here lies the answer to your doubt - yes, there is only one and the only - APS-C FUJI. Because your Master told you so.
I will hit you hard with that stick! I will hit you so hard that you will beg for Fuji to sell you their camera. You will beg for all the lenses in their roadmap! You sissy, you're so pathetic, not owning Fuji camera yet!
Zak is great at what he does, he's a celebrity.

In this video Zak Arias uses a stick. And he waves with it, nervously.
Not only that, he staged a complete classrom, with a blackboard and a projector. The lighting is dramatic, scary.
He plays with our subconcious very seriously.
He's a teacher, we're pupils.
He knows everything, we know nothing.
He's there to talk, we are there to listen.
He's words can' t be questioned.
We have to do what he tell us to do.
The stick has many meanings. He' s the authority, he's the dominant. Either way we are there to accept he's preach.
This is a masterpiece of advertising. It should be played and analized at any collage.
Whoever doesn' t recognize this marketing language in the video is not educated.

In this video Zak very succesfully rules out the competition.
Large format, be it 6x6,6x7,6x9,9x12 etc., is ruled out because 99% of people don't use film anymore..
Digital MF is ruled out because it is crazy expensive (at the time of recording the video).
Micro43 is ruled out because APS-C sensor is bigger, but but the camera and lenses aren't much.
And than, when it comes to APS-C vs FF, he explains that differance in i age quality between the two is negligible. APS-C is compact and lightweight, so FF is ruled out, too.
This speech is followed by Fuji cameras video.
That's good marketing. That's a commercial.
They didn't convince you? So what?

This video is about Fuji promoting APS-C. In this video Zak Arias is used to explain advanages of APS-C sensor. After watching this video you are convinced that APS-C sensor is all you need. Do I have to say it this way and come to the same conclusion like in the first post?
I'll ask you again, what's your problem?

I don't like when people point out to obvious. That video is a great example of good marketing. That's why I said it is famous, I'm still remembering it after all these years. It is correct that Zak never and nowhere said that APS-C is all we need, but the underlying message of this Fuji video is clear - it is Fuji promoting APS-C qualities and advantages. So, what's your problem?

You could be good Fuji ambassador, too! Playing with logic masterfully.

He used Phase One IQ 140 before he jumped to Fuji.

My rant is not about video, it's about these ambassadors morality. They'll promote whatever they are payed for, treating us like zombies.
Obviously my post went over your head.

notpc: No viewfinder, barely a grip, but you can get it in pink .... oh the priorities.

I don't need an EVF. I would like a XE3 without EVF. But, I know that it will never happen, because, traditionally, XE series have EVF. So, I don't expect it to change.
Did you really expect XA3 to have EVF? If not, why do you rant over it now?

Roland Karlsson: PASM and Bayer? Why Fuiji then? And no view finder. Pass!

I agree on that. That's why I own XE2.

Of course no viewfinder, it is a XA series camera.
Of course it is Bayer, it is a XA series camera.

Denton Taylor: Anyone know if it will be available body only? I have a big Fuji system and don't need this kit lens.

I asked my retailer to sell me XE-2 without kit lens at the time, and he agreed. because he had a buyer for the lens. It costs you nothing to ask.

Mike FL: Silver paint on plastic body makes this XA3 not only feels cheap on the hands but looks much cheaper than XA1 too.

Black XA1 looks ok, but only feels cheap while you hold it.

That's true, I don't understand why there isn't an all black version of this camera.

It's a 599$ camera with a lens. How can it not look cheap!?

Of course no EVF, it's X-A series camera.

In reply to:

Androole: Give it an EVF and this would be a great camera. Priced well, 24MP Bayer sensor, and a touchscreen. Basically addresses most of the complaints about Fuji's current X lineup in one swoop. Except for the lack of EVF...

It would be XE-3 then. And it would be more expensive.

My style of work asks for 24mm, 28mm,35mm and 50mm, with 50mm being maybe 10-15%. 16-35, 17, 40 I've never liked, I don't like zooms generally, since I never know what focal length I'm using, except at the extremes. I don't like 24-70, for the same reason and for carriyng some extra weight because of 70mm, which I never use. I also don't like the way this lens extrudes. The primes go on my nerves since I'm constantly changing lenses.
This one is no-brainer for me. 24mm on one end, 35mm on the other. This is work of a genius! I'm surprised, shocked, happy!
