Yep it will. I put my sony a7III with the 24-70 GM on it and it's perfectly fine. Like i said, the elastic nature of it does mean it sways slightly and it is somewhat concerning but the clip is secure.

The camera won't drop off if that's what you mean by "suffice" But it will swing around a bit?

Does the Wotancraft pilot 10L fold fairly flat when empty? If so it might be my ideal travel messenger bag that i can fit into the front compartment of a large suitcase!
