I was able to keep the ISO of the LX-7 down by 2-stops due to the buit-in stabilization. The J1 was using the 18.5mm F/1.8 But I still got motion blur due to the lack or VR
nickthetasmaniac: Take care to read footnote #1 - this is NOT the smallest or lightest interchangeable lens camera...
It's the lightest amognst APS-C cameras, that's what the foot note states
Memo to Panny - Fuji 56mm F/1.2 APS-C lens is $600 cheaper, good luck selling these
wow that is a great lens and decent price, nikon just introduced a 58mm F/1.4 for $1,600, and their Nikon mirrorless lens 32mm F/1.2 is $900 with an output of 86mm F3.2 for a sensor 2/3 smaller than APS-C !
This review proves 2 things #1 the Nikon 50mm F/1.4 is a weak lens, #2 the 58mm F/1.4 is a mediocre lens which looks great next to a weak lens
The 70's called, they said you can keep their clothes

Ovatab, you sound just like my parrot, he also repeats everything he hears :-)
A Re-badged XZ-1 for suckers
ROFLMAO
Dear Nikon
Thank you for copying Fuji's copy of an old camera
Great Sensor
Way over priced
Regards
Everybody
I guess Nikon has to turn a profit on the 1-lemon somehow
Really Nikon? B/C the Nikon P7000 is a straight rip-off of t he canon G12, yur coolpix cameras are another "me too" version of Sony cameras, do we want to go down the line of all your cameras that look identical to the competition?
If it truly was a "no compromise" lens, why not make it a F/1.2? or F/.95?
If at first you can't make it work, fail and fail again
He, he, he, Nikon changed the SB-N7 hot shoe to force users to buy 2 of the same flash, (1 for the Nikon 1-series + 1 for the D-SLR's) Incompatability = Profits
Thanks for the review and the awesome images! Clearly the 32mm is a superior optical piece, however, (as you stated in your comments ) the sensor is the weak link the system unable to extract the full optical benefits of what the lens is capable of
Peiasdf: The color on the car is off vs. bayer picture. I guess phone users don't really care for color accuracy.
Nikon 1 user don't really care about color accuracy, noise levels or even IQ for that mater, that's just a horrible sensor
Nikon already has a cel phone camera, it's called the Nikon 1 series
