Get a gimble... or not. Because the more you use a smartphone on a gimble, the more you don't want to even try and get by without using a smartphone on a gimble. At least for some shots.

Not true entirely. But you do bring up (accidentally?) the first most obvious element in which smartphones are far superior to dedicated cameras, and that's the fantastic touchscreen viewfinder.

Funny how predictions like this are often made after the fact. Smartphone cameras have already been surpassing dedicated cameras for years, in some ways.
