Good price point on the X10. That's actually cheaper than I thought it would be.

The question is would they go small on the sensor for this mirrorless or will they build a new system off the X100.

love_them_all: I don't see any practical use on the M4/3 still camera bodies. It is not cheap to start with. If I have to use EF lenses on the mirrorless I'd rather get a $120 adaptor with manual aperture, or simply shoot them wide open with ND filters if needed.

And where is the AF control??

Get a Canon body already!

Read my post again. I said still camera.

On article Nikon shares rise as Nikkei suggests mirrorless launch (114 comments in total)

Canikon missed the opportunity to launch a new APS-c ml system before Sony and samsung. If they are serious on this market they should offer a least an FF ver for m lenses owners. The beauty of ml is the mount loyalty can be cross platform. I'm a nex owner but would not need to think twice to get a FF ml body if it is under $2-2.5k, depending on features. On the other hand if they are going to go small they should consider a 4x crop or so, laying the grounds for a format with super reach.

My heart skipped a beat when I first see the picture thinking it could be an interchangeable mirrorless or a FF camera. LOL

love_them_all: Anybody knows the res for the hi speed video this time? I suppose it is the same as the previous models? I hope they can kick it up a notch for hi speed vid res.

320 x 240 on the older ones.

This kind of effect can be easily "copied" by a software. Take a picture with the max DOF, then in post the software can burr out zones of the picture...

They should make one for the iPad.

If I didn't have the NEX I would consider this camera. The M mount register distance may also limit the ricoh's ability to use other RF lenses I am afraid.

jj74e: Hm...I always see stuff on their website about their Fujinon lenses being world class, and I always wonder if that's just marketing or if their lenses really were high quality at some point.

They make great lenses, especially those from the MF lineup.

Or better yet offer a FF X100 variation. There are already two other companies making APS-C mirrorless already.
