  • Created discussion thread Drawing A Line In The Sand
The lighting was not optimal but I couldn't help notice the wet sand and the lines it creates. Drawing A Line In The Sand
  • Replied in Some Edits
Thank you for this valuable piece of information.  Unfortunately I need to find a way to get Photoshop without the CC too.  This is going to be an expensive investment that I am trying to raise ...
  • Replied in Some Edits
Daedalus2000 thank you for providing another great insight; I was thinking the same thing about burning the highlights even more just like you did.  Did you use Lightroom?  Now that I have the ...
  • Replied in Some Edits
I went back and did some small edits After - Burned the highlights to the right Before I decided to experiment and do a crop to tighten the image up a bit however I am unsure if this adds impact.

I do not mind the constructive criticism at all; I will go back and work on the right  half.  For that section I can burn the highlights in Aperture.

I am glad you liked the photograph Scott; I am entirely self taught.  To be honest I didn't know how this would turn out when I was taking it.  Do you think 24 by 36 is too much?

  • Replied in Rodrigue
Yes I was thinking of going to Bay Photo for metal prints and do a matte finish.  I love the gloss but the glare is a nightmare.

  • Created discussion thread 2 Still Life - Persimmon & Male Statue
For this subject I was walking out the door when the stacks of persimmon caught my eye immediately.  I dashed for the camera and took this shot.  Unfortunately  I had to use a iso of 4000 and knew ...

Thank yo for commenting.  I was afraid of the noise but when I converted it to black and white I used the noise to my advantage by adding grain.  However I did not want to add too much.
