Thank you. I'll look at that.

Indeed. And I love my D6.....it's never leaving me!

The Sigma 40mm f1.4 is only £629 brand new in the UK - been at that price now for sometime. Very cheap if the focal length suits of course. Mine is just great on my D850.
-
That is good to hear - a repaired or replaced 300 f4 - a glorious lens. Got mine a few years back from that rather good London shop! Will never be without it. Good luck.
-
Shame on you David!!! I had to read your post twice to fully realise you have a 300mm f4 not in working order?? I absolutely love my 300 f4 - and I have a 200-500 that's pretty good too. But ...

I am all DSLR - D6, D850 (with grip), D750, D500, D7200. I shoot all sorts of things but like sport the best. I've looked at and handled Z6/Z7 but really I wouldn't want to use for sport - reasons ...
-
Agreed. Hopefully these things will happen in the next few months.
-
I'd certainly agree on your Sigma point. I mainly have Nikon lens but the Sigma ones l have are excellent.
-
I'm still hoping Thom will publish a D6 book! I'd get it for sure.
-
I mainly do sport so the D6 has fantastic auto focus. I use the D850 as my alternate camera for sport with grip for 9 fps if l need. The D850 has great auto focus but the D6 is just more sure ...

Very good comments re D6. I never owned a D3/4/5 but do have a D850/D500. Then I bought a D6. Well I agree with your other post that the af of the D6 is different/and better compared to the D850 ...
-
Well good luck with it! I'm sure you'll have some fun. I've already decided that I'll never give up my D6/D850/D500.
-
Agree with this. I absolutely love my D850 gripped or no grip but the D6 auto focus is clearly better when comparing the two cameras. And even at the lower resolution of the D6 the output is also ...
-
Use mine for sports. Works great on my D500/D850. Images and bokeh are lovely. You do get chromatic aberration but for me that's fixed easily enough in post processing. Got mine in the UK ...
-
My D500 cost £1729 in 2016 - my D7200 cost £849 in 2015. I still use my D500 as it's just so good. It continues to be used alongside my D850 and D6 and l don't see myself changing any of these 3 ...
-
I'd put it as easily No. 1 in the best over that sort of figure (probably around £2,500 in UK). In mirrorless I haven't found the Z7ii/Z6ii to my liking (accepting they'll both output great ...
-
They are both great. I am never getting rid of either. I saved to buy both and couldn't be happier. But if l had to keep only one it would be the D6 - it's just the more sure footed in every ...
-
Possibly but l wouldn't know as l only ever use RAW and have no idea about JPEG.
-
What Nikon 24mp DSLRs are you comparing too?? If your comparing to the D500 and D7500 they are 20.9mp. I still use my D500 regularly alongside my D6 and D850 for sport. Never had an issue ...
-
For me who mainly does sports I moved a number of years ago to back button focus and found it just provided more control and sureness of getting the shot. But do remember it's like many things in ...
