  • The Canon instructions should say these lenses can not be used with CANON extenders due to the physical dimensions of extenders.  Other manufacturers' extenders will work.
  • I just can not fathom going on a rip like this without at least one telephoto zoom lens.  There will be way too much you can not get close to.  I would much rather have the Canon M 18-150 than the ...
  • If I get results like yours I will be very happy.
  • I was planning on getting the Think Tank SubUrban Disguise 10.   That will give me enough room for the above for the 22 mm (now that does not take much room) and a small flash.
  • I did an interesting check of some photos I took on a recent trip to Italy where I was using a full frame camera.  From the EXIF data, if I had the 22, 35 and 50 mm lenses with me, in low light ...
  • You may actually shoot at f/4 but you want the f/2 lens so that you have sufficient light to focus. Bob Sheldon Photo Gallery at
  • If I get the 35 f2 I will still bring the 22 f2 with me for the wider angle shots.
  • Created discussion thread Am I going to want the 35 f2?
I have an M5 with the ll-22, 22, and 18-150 lenses.  I am going on a trip to Europe and will want photographs inside cathedrals and museums.  Will I want the 35 f2 lens for detail shots or will ...
  • The 18-150 is now available on the Canon Refurb website especially after you use the 15% discount given on the site.
  • I just got one.
  • The last thing I want in a camera is video.  Wish Canon would produce a good small camera that devoted all its features and memory to still photographs.  People that want video can buy a movie camera.
  • Found it!!!  I did not realize you had to be in  "Playback" to see the playback menu.
  • Created discussion thread Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Lens
Has any one used this lens on an M camera? Verdict? I have the EF-M 22 on order but am looking for another lens us use in low light situations.  The 50mm f1.8 is popular but I just think it is a ...
  • Created discussion thread Highlight Alert
Is there a highlight alert (blinkies for an over exposure) on the M5 like I am used to on the 5D and 7D?  I have checked the menu and the manual index and can find nothing?
  • I just received my M5 refurb purchased direct from Canon on a special that included the adapter.  Guess what?  The tripod mount was on the adapter.
  • Replied in 35mm F2 IS
Has anyone used the EF-40 f2.8 pancake lens on the M5 for low light indoor situations.  To me the 50 f1.8 is a little long for indoor use but I would like something a little longer than the 22 f2 ...
  • Replied in 35mm F2 IS
I did a 30 day trip to Italy 2 years ago with the 5DIII.  The longest lens I had with me was the 24-105.  There might have been a few places I could have used a little longer reach.  150mm on a ...
  • Replied in No (nt)
That is the lens I was looking at.  I did not realize it did not work with the Canon extenders (verified on the Canon site).  I will have to look and see if I still  have my old Kenko extender.
  • Replied in No (nt)
    The EF-M 55-200.
  • Replied in No (nt)
That is what I was afraid of as I could not find any on Canon's site.  Just was hoping maybe there was a non OEM teleconverter.
