Germans do have a strong tendency to germanize other languages too. After hearing how Germans pronounce e.g. the french tire manufacturer Michelin every mispronounciation of german names in english will be easily forgiven!

rsf3127: To my untrained eye Helios 40-2 85mm f1.5 delivers similar results.

And you, Edmond, better consult your shrink...

tkbslc: Those saying it needs a bigger sensor are being unrealistic. For the 600mm equivalent f2.8, with a near 6x crop sensor, it only needs an actual 100mm f2.8 zoom. That is possible without going too crazy in size.

If you went to a 2.7x crop 1" sensor, you'd need a 220mm f2.8 zoom. Have you seen what a 70-200mm f2.8 zoom looks like? Now imagine it needs to be 10% longer and zoom out to 25mm equivalent.

The Canon G3x has a 600mm equivalent, but an f5.6 aperture to make up for it, 2stops lost on the lens cancels out much of the 2 stops gained on the sensor.

What some of us had hoped for was Sony´s new stacked Cmos 20mp 1/1.7 sensor. Not a big leap IQ-wise I know. But compared to this 1/2.3 sensor from 2012 it would have made up for about one f-stop. This would have allowed them to build an 800mm f4 lens at the same size with the same total light gathering ability but much more reach.
So if we wait three more years....
