Anastast: The same old sensor with only contrast detect AF?

Same old sensor regarding the AF system, not the image quality.

kobakokh: Absolutely great cameras with great features for shooting in good light. Great second cameras with main full frame camera, which one will be better for shooting in low light situations. I am planning to buy E-M1ii in addition to my Nikon D3s. With absolutely great image stabilization, 2x crop factor and great weather sealing, this cameras are also great for use with tele zooms, for get very compact long zoom system.

I would say great for everything and as a first camera also.

150 f/2 or 200 f/2 will be perfect, yes the shutter speed is a little bit slow, but I like it with a little bit of motion, the faces are sharp, that's more important for me.

A couple of years ago I was shooting a local concert by Lady Gaga. The terms were almost the same, except that, I was hired by her management team.
This rule is not acceptable if your agency or magazine etc. Probably the pit for her concerts will remain empty with these requirements and this is not a bad thing.

Will be nice if they make the same system for Seven5, but this is still miles away from Wine Country Camera filters.

For me the E-M1X pixel shift looks like there is a little move. Need to download raw files and compare it by myself.

You mean Pro camera, not enthusiasts.

fPrime: Sony firmware updates don't exist. They simply release a new body six months later.

Canon firmware updates are only there to block features in their cameras. They prefer you run Magic Lantern firmware to unlock them instead.

Nikon firmware updates are only there to fix silly things that no-one realized were broken so they can sneak in and disable third party batteries and lenses.

And they all wonder why Fuji gets the love and respect?

There are also other companies releasing firmware updates regularly.

Comparing 2 years old bodies with one less than year and 1 brand new and the brand new is the best, what a surprise!

panther fan: Surprisingly this is smaller than the rumored GFX100S, and it could also be in the same price range. Will be interesting to see how the MF "wars" evolve

Leica S3 will be a couple of times more expensive.

S3 is SLR, but L mount is mirrorless.

For me the interesting question is are they going to release regular firmware updates bringing new functionality like Fuji/Olympus/Panasonic or will stay pretty silend like Canon/Sony...

vinrouge0: Would not have hesitated if this was the the 20MB sensor. I feel they have made a big mistake in this regard

This camera is for beginners, amateurs and bloggers, I don't see why 16mpx will be less for them.
It's enough for everything online and you print it perfect on A2 size.

The transition is in the middle, this is very limiting for your composition and almost useless!
