  • thanks for the suggestion, I might give these guys a shot, or at least go speak to them
  • you're right, a bit pricey but might be worth it once I get serious about getting prints. Will definitely keep this one in mind.
  • I was a bit reluctant to go with Jessops as I've read some not so good reviews... but maybe it's worth trying once just to see and I can decide for myself. Not much to lose to just get one print, ...

Looks like this feature was added in a firmware update, so it clearly ISN'T explained in the manual, since it didn't even exist when the manual was written. So thanks for nothing.

must have missed it then, cause I read it in its entirety when I bought the camera... either that, or it wasn't very clear. Edit: well I just went through the manual again, and it doesn't even ...
  • thanks. Yes it does look a bit of a hassle but for the volume I will be printing, it shouldn't really be an issue. Just a hobby, and I will just print the (very) few photos that I really like :P

I think the main issue is that their implementation is confusing. If it lets me pick a minimum shutter speed when shooting in Auto ISO, you would expect that it will never go below that minimum SS ...
  • Thanks. I did find other threads discussing this. Since my max ISO is already set to the highest possible, I guess I'll need to maybe try to underexpose with the exposure dial in order to ...
  • Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but was trying to understand why my camera wasn't respecting the minimum SS and found this thread. I totally agree with #3... yesterday I kinda missed a shot ...
  • Haha I like the analogy. Thanks for the reply! Yeah I'll probably just test it to see I guess. Their prices seem reasonable (I think?) but would have preferred somewhere in London so I could ...
  • After some Googling, I found http://www.proamimaging.com which looks pretty good. Does anybody have anything to say about them? I'll need to prepare the images myself but they provide instructions ...

Hi, I'm sure this is something that has been discussed before, I did search but couldn't really see anything in the first few pages of the results... I am doing digital photography as a hobby, and ...

haha no problem, I know it was a long shot. Thanks for replying though!
  • Yes this is another thing that is making the decision difficult. Having looked at sample images online, I *think* I prefer the X-Trans rather than X-Trans II but it's hard to tell and I would ...
  • You're right, I don't necessarily need the latest X100 model, but at this point I think it would be a better strategy in the long run to have a camera with interchangeable lens. Maybe once I am in ...
  • Thanks Dutch, this is also what I thought, if I don't like the camera, it's not that big a hit on the wallet and I can probably resell it for the same, or very close to what I'll pay. I'm ...
  • I also think this is the best response. Of course people here can give you advice on specific gear, but you just can't chose one for someone else. Several years ago, just when I wanted to start ...

I know this is a few months old, but since it's still open... do you still have the X-Pro1 for sale?
  • Created discussion thread Advice for a Fuji X camera
Hi all, I am currently in dire need of a new camera, I am quite fond of the Fuji X series cameras and I have been using the X100 for several years now, and I absolutely love it. However a few years ...
