I just saw "1923" on an old building front. I think I have that much...

rubank: Can someone tell me what kind of USB connector/port the Z7 has?

Is it C-type or the useless old type (like on the DSLR:s)?

Why CFexpress is wrong, again?

If you CAN wait, SONY is happy for you to do so - this is why their next camera is even more expensive.

It's quite exciting; i am keen to see what kind of color rendition the new system could offer. X-trans was not cutting the mustard for me; after all there is a reason why most samples were b&w.

On article Comparison Review: Sony FE 50mm F1.4 ZA vs 55mm F1.8 ZA (263 comments in total)

Peer B: Sony should make it a user choice stopping down aperture while doing autofocus.

Imagine a wide open focus being precise, then when lens is stopped down, the focus needs to shift according to a table. This will cause a visible change in the EVF in brightness and sharpness. They probably chose not to "scare" the photographer with a sudden change that would be visible once a half-pressed shutter button is fully pressed. Not everyone would understand this. But I support an option, in future firmware.

BrickCurve: Hmmm, it may be a change for the better, depending on who buys it, I hate Flickr being tied to the Yahoo ecosystem.

Getting worse, so true! I'd love to see the real "full screen" with Image Info on side. Gimme an "i" keypress to toggle info on or off and I am in nirvana... But NO, we have to exit "fool screen" and scroll down to see Image Info.

NancyP: I hope that Sigma remembered to put in a socket for remote wired / wireless triggering. These are low ISO cameras, great landscape cameras, born to be used on a tripod. My Merrills are tripod cameras much of the time.

PLEASE, SIGMA...........
BETTER AND MORE STABLE SOFTWARE (SPP upgrade). Maybe SPP runs stably on other operating systems, but on Mac 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, it (last Merrill version of software 5.5) is a disaster.

Grab a copy of 6.3, it works better.

tt321: This is known as Deep Throat...

It needs to take in lenses designed for DSLRs (SA mount).
Otherwise they'd need to start a new mount and a new line of lenses.

Is this the first mirrorless a size of a 1Dx (with the grip)?
I still want it!

Pleased to hear the battery life has been doubled.
Pleased to hear tonality has been improved.
The new design is to be field-proven, though. IMO Fujifilm X-A1 body is ideal.
My RAW files are already 55MB on Merrill, they should only become smaller because of two 5MP layers vs all 15.4MP layers in Merrill, unless there was a trick in Merrill they did not tell us about!..
Something don't add up... proprietary closed Merrill X3F format may have been closed for a reason... unlike previous gen DP2s/DP2x which is all fair 5MPx3.
Show us your RAWs already! And why not a word about the release date?
Unpredictability reduces potential buyers to enthusiasts like myself ;)
