Peter1976: Probably I will never be able to afford one, but if so, I would definitively prefere 35mm. Is that just me? I always thought, the majority would take 35 over 28, but maybe I am wrong? I know you can always crop, but still...

Generic?

Does ‘inaugural’ mean the same as ‘first’?

I prefer good old uncomplicated Anglo-Saxon to pompous French!

B&H had the kit at $399 yesterday, and on back-order.

turvyT: I haven't used this one, but the Konica Hexar is a wonderful 35mm fixed lens sister, lens quality is unbelievable. I think it was an important inspiration for the Fuji x100 series (although Konica ended up being owned by Sony).

OK, I won’t believe it either!

cdembrey: A proud non-Adobe-ite. I've NEVER owned ANYTHING made by Adobe. No PhotoShop, no Lightroom, no Bridge, no nothing.

My paid-professional retouchers probably have a cloud account, but that's not me.

No such beast named PhotoShop. Never has been.

Old Cameras: What would be nice is a review of the Zero Image pinhole camera, rather than this obvious low-expectation crap.
I bought the 6x6 model and it’s actually quite nice and works very well considering it’s inherent limitations.
Beautifully made of teak and brass.
And not cardboard.

Do you know what •it’s• means? [the second appearance, that is]

Regarding slide number 8, birds are animals. Saying “Animals and birds” is a serious classification error, akin to the very common “alcohol and drugs”. [tip: ehanol IS a drug]

drug |drʌɡ|
noun
a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or otherwise introduced into the body: a new drug aimed at sufferers from Parkinson's disease.

Roger Cicala:

“First, the definition of telephoto is not “long focal length.” It’s “the lens is physically shorter than its focal length.” This is really quite handy, so that your 500mm lens doesn’t have to be 500mm (20 inches) long. Telephoto is also a specific type of lens design. All telephoto lenses have the same key structure: a powerful front positive element and a negative rear element that spreads the focused beam of light out, magnifying the image.”

A telephoto lens is shorter in physical length (I felt that I had to add the word ‘physical’ for this audience) than its focal length—this lens is described in the story as 99mm long.

That is what is defined as a long focus lens. Look it up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephoto_lens

And what’s with the puzzling hyphenation, Barney? Are you trying to make a compound adjective? If so, the modified subject is AWOL.
