  • Replied in twilight
jpeg unfortunately.... raw would have helped immensely ..tcd
  • Replied in twilight
Thanks for the comment!  Actually I did lighten the shadows a bit, but couldn't push them very far as the details were very mushy with lots of noise, which kind of surprised me at such a low ISO. ..tcd
  • Replied in twilight
Thanks! Yes, when I got back and reviewed the image, I kicked myself for not moving the camera a bit to give some "breathing room" on the right.  Might have to clone in some space.... ..tcd
  • Replied in twilight
    Bandon, Oregon ..tcd
  • Replied in 3 recent ones
All shot with the 12-100.  Love the versatility of this lens! Mt Shasta Anna's Hummer ..tcd
  • Replied in Seat
I really like the composition on this one, and the tonal range of B&W is excellent. ..tcd
  • I happened to experiment with this just the other day, and I think it turned out fine...the high-res mode handles moving water quite well IMHO.  Shutter 1.3 sec. ..tcd
  • Replied in Frank
You are right on this....in most cases the moving leaves and branches looked blurred in a 'natural' way (the way one would expect in a long exposure), but some showed a multi-image effect that is ...
  • I guess the 'artifacts' I was referring to were in the motion of leaves, where some were nicely blurred as one would expect in a long exposure with wind, but some showed a "stutter" or ...
  • Replied in hi-res mode
No problem...I'm not sure what you're seeing, but perhaps it has to do with the very flat lighting conditions?  This was shot just after sunset, and my similar non hi-res shots looked about the ...
  • Replied in hi-res mode
Thanks!  Actually I used a very lightweight tripod, Sirui 025, but the legs were not extended so it was stable enough.  You are right though, hi-res does require good stability.  I also used a ...
  • Replied in hi-res mode
I've only experimented with the EM1.2 hi-res mode a couple of times with indoor shots, but thought I'd give it a try out in a landscape setting, so last night along the Rogue River just after ...
  • Thanks.  Actually all 3 are a bit cliche I realize, but for some reason on this trip almost everything I shot looked that way.  My attempts at shooting something "different" just didn't work very ...
  • Some shots from a recent trip up to the Columbia Gorge.  EM1 mk2 and 12-100 lens. ..tcd
  • Replied in SW Oregon spring
some recent spring shots from southwestern Oregon. using the Dramatic Tone filter ..tcd
  • Replied in hawk
A red-shouldered hawk in our front yard, both images are 50% crops. ..tcd
  • The Uzi was my first digital camera, and I loved it. Sold all my Pentax film camera equipment to buy it. A great and versatile digicam!

  • Replied in in flight
Thanks!   This was one shot from a sequential series of 6 shots (the camera set on low speed burst mode), which was the easist way for me to catch them as they landed on the beach then took off. ..tcd
