I only hope the 23mm will perform at the same level!

very unfortunate that the bokeh is so busy, that could mess up a lot of environmental portraits. otherwise the lens seems to be a very solid performer

CaPi: Is that green and purple color fringing in the fore and background elements of the plant? :-( That would be a lot.

yeah, and the bokeh balls close to the focus plane look like soap bubbles

mais51: Remind me of a shop in Hong Kong - they can stamp whichever brand label/logo you want on a leather belt - no extra cost.

haha, next time I go there, I'll hand them a mitakon lens

CTMRIGuy: To my eye, the GFX 100 bests the IQ4 handily (try comparing them). Incredible to think that in a couple of weeks that sensor will be available in the 100S for 1/10 the price of the IQ4.

that phase one seems to be a really specialized camera. at 6400 ISO the gfx definitely pulls ahead. even downscaled the noise pattern of the phase one is surprisingly rough.

but ISO50 on a "real MF camera" sounds very enticing!

anwiko: I am not a market expert. But there is one aspect to this figures that I would be curious to hear opinions on:
As a consequence of the pandemic, professional photography has severely suffered or even collapsed (think of the cancelled Olympics). The cameras for this markets are the D6, D850 and, although mirrorless equivalents to these models are still missing, for some photographers it might also be the Zs. Nikon has no A1/R5 equivalent yet.
The Zs are largely directed at a consumer market. The pandemic ha impacted private income very differently across societies. But - at least here in Germany - many middle class people have more money than before, e.g. because they have not booked holidays. The savings rate of private households is up 5 % to 16.3. Now the Zs target the enthusiast market.
I don't know in how far this holds true for other countries. I'd be curious how others see the numbers in the light of these thoughts (from sb who is not an economist of camera market expert)

I had a similar thought, but ultimately discarded it. In the end I thought even amateurs are holding back their money because many follow their hobby during vacations (which are cancelled) or other kinds of leisure trips which also do not take place. Very few people of course seize exactly this time and take pictures of empty venue which are normally very crowded, but I am afraid this is only a minority.
I could imagine though that many invest in their home office, like NAS, new monitor, maybe a printer etc. and use the covid time to go through their photo library.

Gary B P1000: AF RANGE LIMITER Not working with FOCUS BKT
see the link above with some other issues.

problem with focus bracking/bkt it does not know when to stop the last image it goes to infinity, it only knows where to start and not to stop,

<< it simply stops after a given number of frames. It would be more comfortable if you could set the end by defining the end of the to be focused areas though, so I fully understand why not combining AF limiter with focus stacking is a missed opportunity. I am not sure however if there is any camera out there that works this way.

? the 10-24 was also already there and yet they mentioned it. btw it only carries an "WR" and not "MK II" in the name, could be same for the 27mm

what is the relation to the bitrate of a photo file. does displaying on HDR TVs mean automatically that we need files with more than 14bit?

KoolKool: everything falling apart when i pixel peep over 50% on my..19 inch monitor

i really love m43, but please, olympus, order 24mp or 36mp sensor from sony,
this not a hard task for you, you are just simply too modest

i'm sure your Pro lenses are hungry for more resolution from sensor too

if 20mp dont look good more mp wont do better - you should rather go and get a new one
