With AI, you won't even need a camera module at all. Just ask AI to "make" a photo of something and it'll just generate a photo realistic image. And at that point, we'll realize that it's just not the same as taking a true photo and we'll agree that taking a photo requires a real camera.

Jefftan: How is this 'Real-Time' autofocus tracking different from my A6500 AF?
i am confused
Anyone?

I recently upgraded my APS-C body from A6000 to A6500, so I will just have to learn to live with what it has for a while. I am going to upgrade my FF from A7II to A7III, so hopefully it has some tracking benefits over its predecessor too.

I watched the video and my A6500 has the same options he mentioned. The only thing is that the focus area movement options (shown by arrows around the focus box) disappears if I leave the focus options. So I have to stay in some kind of focus options selection mode if I want to move the "Lock-on AF: Flexible Spot" selection...

UllerellU: The most interesting for Sony E would be the 23 f1.4, the Sony / Zeiss option is absurd. The rest of the focal points are well covered with good economic lenses, Sigma 30 F1.4 (Sony 35mm 1.8 is very bad) and Sony E 50mm 1.8 OSS (very good, cheap and with stabilizer) Sigma 56mm F1.4 (Very good already Reasonable price).

I have the Sony 50, for 35mm I have a manual Sayang f1.2 and a Sigma 30 f1.4 and I have a Samyang 21mm f1.4, which despite being manual, is optically as good (pracrically free of distortion despite the focal length, extremely sharp from corner to corner from f1.4, low chromatic aberrations, no annoying reflections, low comma ...) that I do not consider changing it for the AF, another thing is that it would have been available when I bought the Samyang , the manual shooting bug already covers my 35 f1.2, with one to play I had enough.

> Sony 35mm 1.8 is very bad

That's a subjective opinion if I have ever read one...

I got a similar holster from Movo Photo on Amazon for $20. It worked well on walking around and even some scrambling on hikes in Yellowstone. Also best to wait on these...

I like everything except the price. I will stick with my sub-$100 Lowepro.

Bronto99, I am not your CPA, but let's not kid around and make it seem to the non-Americans on this thread that you are giving "over 50%" of your income in taxes. We both know that is not the case!

Your tax bracket is not the singular tax rate you pay on all of your income. And let's not forget about the tens and tens of adjustments, deductions, and exemptions you probably make use of.

Really Bronto99, you are charged 50% in taxes between the state and the federal govt? I guess you are in your own tax magical bracket...

neod: Everyone keeps crapping on the 24-70 f/4 Zeiss. I just got that lens because this Tamron is out of stock everywhere and I actually like the Zeiss! It's fast and sharp on both my A7II and the A6500!

I've had the FE kit lens and I think the Zeiss is better. Btw, the Zeiss is $898 right now so the Tamron is $100 cheaper. And yes, I would get the Tamron when it becomes more available... maybe on the used market.

dr.noise: They have no taste in fonts :(

It's a common font that is the default for translations in some software. That's why it appears on lots of Asian packaging and even in emails!

Keith57: Good copy of Peak Design’s ideas, right down to the fancy metal clips and the pockets in the side flaps. Shame you haven’t copied their waterproofness though, you still feel the need to supply a cover.

Nice one Lowepro, but I’ll stick to the original, thanks .

Peak Design copied Kata / Manfrotto.

neod: It would give you a DOF similar to an f/4 on an A6000. So the 35mm equiv focal length may be ideal, the aperture is not.

I'd rather they produce a 35mm f/2 FE lens or a 24mm f/2 APS-C lens.

I guess I just miss my Fuji X100!

keeponkeepingon, if you could be less cryptic and just tell when were I am wrong, I would appreciate it. Here's my math anyway...

Focal Length: 24mm x 1.5 (crop factor) = 36mm
DOF = 2.8 x 1.5 (crop factor) = 4.2

If you fundamentally disagree with aperture equivalency, then that's a different issue.

It's a 24mm FE lens that'll give youa roughly 35mm focal length on an APS-C.
