Yes mine makes this IS sound as well. It sounds like the IS of a lens, but softer. The R5 has IBIS so I put two and two together and concluded it was the slight humming sound of the IBIS. Thanks ...

At the customize buttons menu you can set a button to maximize the screen brightness. If you press it the brightness goes to max, if you press it again the brightness goes back to your previous value.

It has always worked like this and Canon will not change it (and I definitely wouldn't want them to change it). Even on my 5D4, when I go to custom controls and set my back dial ("quick control ...

Well let me brighten up your day and tell you it can be done :) One way is to set up the timer to 15 seconds for your screen to turn off. Et voila; after 15 seconds you have what you want: a ...

With my RP I can turn it to Auto. No problems there. Check the other posts in this thread, it has all to do if you are just changing the ISO when idle, or when you are changing the ISO when metering.

Hurray. All problems solved :)

This is possible. I can set up my R5 exactly as how my 5D4 works, EVF for shooting and the back display for the info screen (used in DSLRs since the 400D, 14 years ago), reviewing images and menu. ...

This is exactly it. And it works as I expect and want it to work. When you are not metering you can go to Auto or another ISO value with your dial. When you are metering with Auto ISO, the body ...

I believe the Batmax are ok. Just remember that all non-generic LP-E17s don't have a 100% reliable battery indicator. They usually show they are completely full until they drop to 1 blinking bar ...

When using my RP during shoots with flash (I use Godox transmitters and receivers with Canon flashes) I get the image review pretty much at the same speed as my 5D4. Even with my 5DS I never had ...

Yes. That is why our Canon cameras have the anti flicker functionality for EFCS and mechanical shutter, as I wrote two posts ago. ;)

Of course, use google!! and voila: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4348448

Yes EFCS can also have banding issues, but it also has the anti flicker option you get with mechanical. So that helps. Only silent shutter has no anti flicker. The A9 theoretically has less-but is ...

Yes. At very fast shutterspeeds (1/1000 and faster) the bokeh can be affected. But EFCS is very useful to prevent softer images at 1/50 to 1/200 due to shutter shock. Yes. Decrease shutterspeed by ...

Focus shift is indeed a known problem for this lens, but some users say it doesn't bother them or they haven't noticed it. Unfortunately there is no fix for this. If it bothers you (and I would ...

The difference is really noticeable. With my M5+EF mount adapter+70-200/2.8 I really had to squeeze the M5 to be able to maintain a good grip. It cramped my hand. With the RP I can handle the ...

Hey Jotoco, I use my RP as my 2nd body next to my 5D4 for events. I use a 35mm on the 5D4 and a 50mm or 85mm on the RP. What I have noticed so far: Not really, because there is a second wheel on ...

It didn't work before (gave an error) and after mounting it in the described way it worked. I don't know why though and I have never encountered a problem mounting a lens directly onto the ...

I have used the (very old?) EF 70-300 IS I for months without any problems on my RP. Focus was accurate, handling was good. No problems at all. My very very old 1990 100-300L also works flawlessly ...

That's odd. The RF should be fine for portraits at 105mm. Only a bit more soft at the cornes wide open and in my experience noticeably sharper in the center region compared to the EF I.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
