you made false claims about the 200-600, while at the same time proving that you don't know anything at all about the lens. you tried to bash sony, and it failed.
-
no, i stated that the lens should not be carried upside down when the hood is mounted, under the weight of the lens, which has nothing to do with your link to put a sock on a hood that's mounted ...
-
maybe those videos are for older sony models? for the record, eyeaf is automatic with the a1, and all of the later-model cameras that have sony real-time tracking. i guess that you have a reason ...
-
you don't, and since you don't own the gear in question you clearly don't understand what's being discussed. i've never had it come off, but then i know how to transport camera gear, with the hood ...

we'd need to be o.k. with shooting f/4 stills, and in the case of the pz28-135/4 i believe it's a pretty hefty lens, which could get tiresome for shooting stills. the pz16-35/4 would be my first ...

lol this hood does not have a lock screw on it; here are at least three people who have had the 200-600 hood come off during use: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1608605/0 this is not a ...

this thread is ridiculous. both canon and nikon raised prices last year, in america also, and in fact canon did it twice in 2022... sony released the a7r5 at a cheaper price than the a7riv was, ...

the obvious answer is the pz powered zoom lineup, they are designed for video.

wrt video, the a7iv is a no-brainer over an a7iii. food photography doesn't require the latest and greatest lenses, in fact you can shoot it with manual focus and get xlnt results.
-
that's asking for a really small tripod, so it'll be difficult. fwiw, you can hang a weight off of the inside center of a tripod and help the stability immensely, so do your destinations have rocks ...

i wonder if someone replaced the lens mount on the body? or the board that the sensor is on got tweaked? a bizarre ibis issue? milc lenses all focus past infinity, so that may not necessarily be ...

did they have a deeper grip? this one looks like it does? Amazon.com : 95mm Snap-On Center-Pinch Lens Cap, Extra Strong Springs, Camera Lens Cover, Made from 100% Recycled Plastic - Compatible with ...

posting while drunk? :D and what about while carrying the lens? a hood doesn't keep dust and grit off of the lens, at all, and it's prone to breakage. kudos for thinking outside the box slip-on ...
-
that doesn't work on this lens, for several reasons: - glass gets filthy from dust and such - can't support the weight of the lens face-down on the hood maybe if you want to risk breaking the hood off.
-
in some ways yes, but it also limits control over the background light, no free lunch here.

@simjn - once again i repeat: none of that is relevant to the video af that is the entire topic of this thread. you are getting yourself upset because you can't stay on-topic to what everyone else...
-
it was bound to happen, sony is following the lead of canikon, with price increases that they did last year.
-
@simjn - "what don't you understand about a Ninja? It doesn't 'fix' AF issues, it simply records the HDMI out" no, that's not what you said: @simjn - "I'm sure it can keep focus at 30fps doing...

anyone who has worked in a q.c. production capacity would have understood what i said. what part of "covid shortage going on, so maybe there are multiple suppliers for the same product, and one of ...
-
@rawdinal - lashing out at sony and other dpr posters won't fix those gear insecurity issues, but looking at the r6ii reviews i can understand your frustration... maybe move to another...
